MET notice at McDonalds while in KFC

  • Sorry about username change, it's still me. The MSE forums seem to have lost my account and so I had to set up a new one :/
  • They must put the charge on hold whilst the appeal goes through.

As you've only just sent in your appeal then the letters may have crossed in the post. May be worth e-mailing the appeal as well, just in case your postal appeal goes astray.

All you need is for them to cancel the charge (unlikely) or get your POPLA number.

Shame you can't now edit your first post which gave far too much detail about who was driving.

Anyway if they don't reply to your challenge within 35 days of when they got it, complain to the BPA and DVLA using the email addresses in the 'NEWBIES FAQS' sticky thread. Write only as the registered keeper - not mentioning who was driving - which I HOPE was how you worded your appeal.

And what happened when you complained to the local McDonalds and/or KFC Manager as advised? They pretty much always cancel these, some shop Managers cancel loads routinely, as part of their job every week. Tons of examples in the 'Successful Complaints about PPCs' sticky thread which you will also have seen at the top of the forum, calling to you to read it and follow the successes.

You don't have to say WHERE you were eating...and obviously you paid cash...TRY ONE MANAGER THEN IF NO JOY, TRY THE OTHER.

Well done! So basically, MET cancelled because you said 'I have sussed your fake PCN, it's pants and you'll lose'!

    Dear parking

In reference to the invoice xxxxxx, and your letters of (date). As the registered keeper of the vehicle, I appeal on the following grounds

    1) The charge is not a genuine pre-estimate of loss
    2) Your signage is inadequate and does not comply with the bpa Code of Practice
    3) You do not have authority or contract to issue these invoices

As you know popla upholds all appeals on the above, so you are invited to cancel this invoice now

    Sincerely

    The keeper
