Is this best deal going ?

So my 24 month contract (how come nowadays they are all 24 months?) with t-mobile/ee through carphone warehouse has ended and I an due an upgrade, when they ring me its all spiel etc ''this is the best deal you will find'' blah blah or offering a free x-box/tablet with a crap phone and just trying to push me which puts me off.

(currently on £16 p/m 300 texts/minutes unlimted data) phone was a samsung galaxy ace but lost that and got a huwaei (sp)

so looked into it and found the moto g 16gb through tesco £15 p/m 500 mins/texts 1gb data (I wont go over that most likely)
heard its a really good phone and seems a decent deal
Moto g - tesco deal

Anyway couple of questions

Is this the best deal out there on contract ? (can't really afford lump sum to buy it pay as you go and would probably spend as much on top ups etc)

are tesco mobile any good? no problems with signal etc ? never used them before

Is there any cashback deals etc I could use ?

any advice much appreciated :)

It's only the best deal if it suits your usage, in the mobile world, deals are forever changing, what is a bargain today is a ripoff tomorrow, then we get the posts of sob stories of poor reception, faulty handset blah blah blah, I want to get out of my 24 month contract.

Can't see any cheaper deals. It has 99% coverage.

    £15*24=£360

It was available for ~£100 on PAYG.

    £100+24*£9.90=~£340.

    12x£9.90 give you 600+5000+1Gb on '3'.
  • yeah I can see the problems with contracts but to be honest it wont make much difference price wise, I'll still be spending roughly the same on top ups and I get the phone for nowt
also I am unlikely to want to change phones, I'm not one of these who simply must have the latest phone, never owned a top range since one of the samsungs back in 2006, can't see the point they are all WAY over priced

anyway about that cashback ;) anyone do any through TCB etc ?
