amazon item not arrived.

Options
Bought a milk frother off a trader on amazon, it didnt arrive, never had that happen on amazon.
When to the order & raised a claim - I think, after not hearing from amazon or the trader I emailed the trader, they aren't responding.
Do I email amazon customer services?
Ive told the trader twice in the claim & in the email, I want the item not a refund, but I'm getting neither.....
Anyone had any experience of this with Amazon?

Still no response from amazon, except as part of their claims process I can have the money back as a credit to my amazon account.
I would still like the item.
Should I just take the amazon credit (note)?

Amazon refunds are refunded back to the original payment method. They do not issue credit notes.

I'm sure the response offered me an immediate credit to my amazon account.
Ideally I'd still like the item, but the seller doesnt respond.

They will give you a refund, but instead of it going back to your original payment method, it's in the form of a gift-voucher which kinda makes you buy from them again.

I know, thats what I said in my second post, its a credit note.
Which doesnt seem very fair I want my item, but if the seller wont respond then my refund should be without strings,

You are under no obligation to accept a gift card. I'm surprised Amazon are even attempting to refund a lost item via this method.

I know you say you want the item, but as you can't get any response from the seller, surely a refund is your best option.

Ask for a credit back to your payment card - you are legally entitled to your money back. I'm astonished Amazon seem to be trying to fob you off with a gift voucher - it's not Amazon-like behavior.

Did you pay for the item via voucher - that is the only reason I can think they are trying to refund in this way - it's not normal, or typical.
