Shared right of way

Just had a survey/valuation done on the property i want to buy and the report says the property has access by a shared right of way,
i'm buying a semi detached house, there is a drive for it to the right hand side, then a neighbour has a drive next this drive, see pic below and tell me what you think, i've blocked out the house pic as i'm not sure i am allowed to upload a photo of someone elses house without their permission, but it clearly shows the drives.
When i look it seems like there is 2 different drives, there looks to be bricks on the border, ground level that mark the drive, i'd like to build a seperation wall there when i buy the property, but if its a shaered right of way then i can't
If this is a shared right of way it'll really dissapoint me, i hate the idea of neighbours being able to use my drive whenever they want to access their property when they have more then enough room to enter their property with their own drive space.

What makes yo think that your neighbours would actually want to use your drive?make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
It's not a case of if they "want to", its a case of legally they can do whenever they want, so i cant build a wall0

is the whole drive a right of way for both, as you will be able to use there drive as well
do they have right of way to drive over, park on it, or just walk over,
a house we use to rent, the neighbour only had right of way to drive over pur drive, not park on it,0 -

That's what i am trying to find out too, not sure at all, any idea how i find out? I've e-mail my solicitor to ask if they can find out. I've asked EA to ask vendors too but the EA is ignoring me, probably because i specifically told them that the property i am looking for is not to have any right of way over it lol.0 -
You could buy a copy of the deeds from the Land Registry. That should show any ROWs.0

Surely if you build a wall and you have a second car in your drive, you will have to park over the path if you want easy access to the driver's side doors? Unless they turn out to be the neighbours from hell, it would seem the current arrangement is quite practical."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

deeds think it is the boundry one, the council should be able to tell you the boundry of the propertys, there might be nothing you can do,
ask the person, who has the right of way, what they know about it0 -

Title register should show ROWs and joint access. I would get copies for both houses - sometimes there is more information or a clearer description of the access on one rather than the other.
Considering how much you're planning to spend on the house, it could be worth going for the boundary maps as well.0 -

That's the risk though, they could be neighbours from hell, they might not be, it's not a risk i really want to take haha.
My idea would be to knock a small bit off the low front wall and extend the drive width wise a bit, raise the front wall, fill in that section of gravel floor bit too, then add a gate to secure it better. The drive can easily fit 2 cars on, but it will not really have more the 1 as i only have 1.0
