Our vinegar comes from Morrisons, it costs 21p for 500ml (750?). WE used to get it in sains when their cheapo vinegar cost 18p for 500ml but they have put it up to 35p. We are gradually getting priced out of Sains, I can see why they are making more margin than other supermarkets.

    Work tomorrow :(
    I think....

Are most people going to work tomorrow or next week? I've worked throughout, so don't really have a sense of when the majority of people go back to work. I'm hoping that as schools aren't back yet I'll still have a couple of days of light commuting left.

    DH is next week.

We have done nothing useful at all, as we sort of planned, and I'm itching to do some tidying up. I wanted to prune this week, but the weather is so rough.

At some point I'm just going to have to brave it and get out there in the rain. I could finish it off in a day now, but everything takes longer in the wet, especially if you get too cold.

Its also the idea my boots and jackets or coats all get soaked to inside while I'm working then I have to slosh around in damp shoes and outer clothes for days that is distinctly off putting.

Or any of the time we fly anywhere, we can ask for a little bottle of spirits and keep them for her. As a non-drinking cook, that's how I stock up on Vodka for my vodka arrabiata sauce...
Sounds like a posh alert... giving booze away!

I'd never use it otherwise! I like tomato juice, so rather than asking for a Virgin Mary on a plane, I ask for a Bloody Mary and stick the vodka in my handbag. Little bottles are the perfect size for my occasional cooking need and even then I probably have too many.

Workers going back tomorrow, I don't think schools go back until Monday or possible Tuesday.

I don't have to go back until Tuesday, but have loads to do so will be going in on Friday and Monday - unless I get a lot more done on Friday than I expect, which is unlikely because I shall have to take DD with me and hope she sits quietly with her laptop and earphones and DVDs and lets me get on with what I need to do. I have some computer stuff to set up for the department on 6 machines, all in different rooms. I was supposed to do it last term, but I kept not getting round to it. Term time's too hectic for that kind of thing - I need several uninterrupted hours when I can get at all the rooms without anybody else needing to teach in them, so the school holidays are the only suitable time really.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

When I've had a job I've had Xmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day off, so I'd be back at work tomorrow. If allowed I would have tried to book last Friday off as annual leave, but I've always hated "wasting" any annual leave on days when the weather's likely to be cold/wet etc.

Tomorrow is the return to work day for most people.

She used to. She decided a couple of years back to stop taking it as it was messing with other parts of her life. I can see that as the pills are a little zombifying.

Experience tells me this will last 1-2 years. Perhaps it's different this time as the kids are a bit older and she has more experience dealing with it.

    Very.

I struggled for many years with recurring depression and thought the same way regarding medication...until I had my breakdown.

The way it was explained to me was that because I kept being on then off the pills, the depression wasn't being sufficiently treated and in the end, it all built up worse than it had ever been, hence the breakdown over a seemingly small thing (compared to the things which had come before)

I couldn't refuse the medication that time, I tried but was threatened with a section as I was a danger to myself if I refused to take the tablets right there in front of the doctor.

Yes, it did leave me a bit zombie like for a couple of weeks but gradually, it did the trick and the more zombie like features wore off to leave me more human...although the impact on my libido was a bit eek, it left me unable to err....reach the pinnacle shall we say (tmi I know), most frustrating!

I had treatment for approx 4 or 5 years but part of that time was gradual tapering of the medication to combat the rather horrible withdrawal side effects (the brain shock experience is not one I would like to repeat).

I have now been treatment free for about 3 or 4 years and although I do sometimes have 'black' moments (and according to those silly online things saying I have severe depression), I actually feel better mentally than I have in years, in fact in two decades!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
