LiR, have you ever considered going into really posh baking? Your food looks like it could be in a cookery book it's so nicely presented.

    :o

I don't make the tins! ( its a tin nigella used and shot to fame after that) Ad those prett plates of food aren't mine, the salad and the cod roe!

I'd like to write a cook book one day, that's for sure. But I need to feel that the pixes dance near gens angels first.

I did used to sell cakes, in London and marshmallows very briefly too. My mother sold cakes to a fancy deli in London as a single parent when she was resting and sometimes when she wa a working, and one some really loyal customers who would buy when ever she was back in the country and freeze them :D. When I was older she told them she'd given me the recipe book and I did them for a while.

I'd Struggle to get the council happy with my kitchen here for h. Safety. Running hot water is usually a fairly basic requirement, :o. Lack of mice, another :o:o. ( because no reall back for and no finished floor the mice can wander In the back opening then just through the ducts into house, or under doors which hover above floor which is below finished level.

I award myself 1/10 for "DIY" and "DIY in the wind/rain".

Stick's already fallen down - just had to dash out and reinstate it, at a different angle.... bottom of garden's 1" in water, so s0dden feet too now.

The 1 was [a] for bothering at all for feeling 'able' [c] for going out and having another go.

I've just legged it up the road and round the corner .... because my fence fell down again.... and I had to try to get it up. It was windy and p155ing down... vile weather. Managed to get the panel vertical, so I could see what could be done, wedged it one side, then it was stuck, then I saw a way forward and managed to get it back into position. Lobbed the 3 random/broken bits of top wood and whatever over the fence, then ran back along the road and inside, absolutely s0dden.... then out into the back to see if I could find/retrieve what I'd lobbed over the top.... and managed to find one piece that magically wedged it upright by bracing it against a tree ....

Then the wind whipped up and the heavens opened again.... once back inside, I shut the door and the s0ddin' indoor net I've got over the patio door fell down. Tried to get that back in place, using one of the wooden cooking utensils I picked up the other week (7 for £1)... to give me the extra reach to shove the pole as far to the top as I could reach.... it's shabby, but does a 95% job. Me + wooden cooking fork = just 6" short of the top of the patio window :)

Just phone your landlord in the morning.

Walked the dogs for an age, much of it in sideways rain and galeforce winds. It's so thoroughly sodden out on the fields that the footpaths are streams and all grass is flattened and it's impossible to walk anywhere without sliding.

I have my leather uggs which are so superwarm and sturdy, but I still arrived home with wet feet as they're not exactly waterproof. Showered both dogs thoroughly and popped out for dinner stuff. I've managed to motivate everyone else into doing housework (except DD, which will never be motivated to clean anything, including herself and is now crying) but now I just want to snuggle up forma bit.

I will find motivation shorty to make huge piles of food :)

The worst that can happen? They can put you in a lousy dr pepper t shirt saying something about 'protecting your wound' and then take a picture of you.
