Rolling Contract

Options
Hi...looking for a bit of advice. Currently with TMobile on a rolling contract £10 per month. As I only use this phone for a couple of calls a month & half dozen texts I am not nearly using £10 pm. I used to be on PAYG & just top it up when I was getting low without it necessarily being a monthly thing. Does this option still exist with any providers anymore...I have no loyalty to TMobile so happy to switch if I can find a cheaper option.

If your phones unlocked then consider the same thing with virgin for £5 a month.
    Same network coverage.

But yes you can still get PAYG but its expensive these days with the major names.

    Vectone is cheap though.

3's '321' PAYG tariff seems good value for low users?

Ovivo would be my first option (they use the Vodafone network) where you pay an up front £20 then get 200 minutes, 300 texts and 500 mb data every month at no extra charge.

3 have their 321 payg where calls are 3p per minute, texts 2p and data 1p per megabyte. You need a 3g phone. They also have good deals when used in certain countries abroad.

    Hope this helps.

For "a couple of calls a month & half dozen texts", the Three deal that Neil mentions would cost=2*3p+6*2p=18pence per month, so it looks a no brainer.

Put difference between your old contract and the 3 deal (=£10-0.18=£9.82) in a savings account. Before you know it you will have saved for something really nice.

Better than throwing it away anyway.

The 3 is certainly a good deal but I'm not sure they have a 3G phone?

What has that got to do with it?

I’ve been on the 321 tariff since end of October and despite one ripoff call to my bank (beware 0844 numbers) it’s been fine – especially the 24hr number porte.

Check if your phone is 3G compatible (I've a Nokia 2330 ex Tesco) and get two FREE sims (including micro sims) at:

DISCLAIMER: I have no position with or interest in the 3 network.
