Integrated Washing Machine Help Please!

Hi all

I have an integrated washing machine that sits behind a cupboard door in a fitted kitchen, its ancient and so old that they don't even make parts for it anymore, its a rented property I live in and the landlord isn't very helpful, basically the washing machine is broken and cannot be fixed and its up to me to replace it, I've already checked my tenancy agreement and my landlord does not have to replace it.

My question is, will a normal washing machine fit behind the cupboard there? As I simply cannot afford an integrated machine, cheapest I have found is for around £400! Where as I have found many normal machines around £150-£200. I have read online that normal machines won't fit in an integrated machine space as they are too big? But I'm not sure so thought I would ask on here.

I cannot measure the space as the machine is still in there, to cut a long story short I am still using it but I have to wash everything in a pillowslip as otherwise my clothes get rips in the fabric (already investigated it and we cannot find what is wrong, the only option is to buy a new machine) so I don't want to remove the machine to measure it and then find a normal one wont fit as then I won't have a machine at all lol. Its a nightmare none of my clothes are washing properly and all smell still because they are not getting a proper wash.

Please any advice you can give would be great.

Thank you

Lucy
