I just wanted to warn anyone signing up to this group with any form of contract on direct debit. Check your bank statement for direct debits added without your knowledge for insurance and or 'technical help'. They may take payments before your normal monthly contract payment is due, the statement entry may appear as simply a reference no. which you don't recognize. I have had £23.94 taken which I have had to reclaim through my bank. Onestop had set up another D.D. due later which fortunately I have managed to cancel.

Why target E2Save (same company as Onestopphoneshop); most on-line dealers do exactly the same. As for checking your bank statements - you should check what you actually order at the point of sale (AND print it off) on-line. It's all there telling you about both the insurance (which nowadays you can delete at the point of sale) AND the Gadget Helpline (or TMTI) - which you have to cancel afterwards. It's VERY simple and quick to cancel and since you get the first month free no-one who READS what they agree to when ordering should have any problems at the "check bank statement" stage - and, it seems, many people don't even do that!0

The initial receipt does not make any mention of added payments to be taken by direct debit. In fact it states that technical support is not charged. I have checked all through the small print and at no point does it mention on going charges will be debited. I am only trying to help others in pointing out that as a safeguard you should make sure of checking your statements.0

Not sure what you mean by "initial receipt". It's quite clear on the form at the point of sale, which is what you should always print off and use. CPW are famed for sending contradictory information out afterwards - AND on their on-line accounts.0
