Slower post?

Anyone else having Royal Mail delays? First class post sent Monday just arriving today. Seems to have been happening since last week.

Feedback I'm getting on ebay suggests fairly normal timescales on most of my post - but am getting the odd query on items that seem to be taking longer.

Been ordering items off ebay for presents, which all seem to be arriving in the timescales I'd expect.

I use a central post office with sorting office attached, so they're usually quicker. I get the feeling they might not have been emptying the boxes as much.

It seems to have been slow for the last 3-4 weeks where I am. I've had approximately 10 first class parcels take over a week (both sending & receiving). Still anything's better than the courier who managed to leave my parcel in the front garden of a house in the next street last week!

Have noticed slightly - ordered something which was posted on a wed which didn't arrive till sat (post marked was wed as well so not lying lol) posted something Monday which didn't arrive till the Wed which is only a normal day but I've noticed 99.9% time my LL's arrive next day.

I know its only small things but generally RM are pretty on top of things.

Its been like this since privatisation.

First class arriving quickly is no-longer the norm.

Expect parcels flying over your gate any time soon.

May aswell tick 'other courier' now when using Royal Mail.

I've never noticed quite so many slow items quite so soon as this year. I do have a few years experience to look on. I'm also sending less RM items than I did this time last year.

2nd class eBay orders are coming in 2 days.
Rental dvds (1st class) are taking 2 days to get there but one day to get to me. Slowed my useage right down but that usually happens in December. I also think it's a week or two early for that to be happening though.

It all depends on location location location.
If you've ordered something, which is from a seller based in Derbyshire and you're based in Derbyshire then it should be pretty quick. But obviously if it's coming from Scotland or the East Coast then it might be longer because of the weather.
