Give a shout here or on twitter if you get one :)

PS, to Grabbit regulars thanks for joining in with something that's not a Grabbit. Hopefully you'll agree with us it's a great bit of Xmas fun!

Best bargain this year has been on eBay, 19 pieces of Hornby rolling stock for £25 plus £4 P&P. OK so it was used but perfect for my dad and a great price compared to what other people seem to be paying.

I don't seem to be able to upload a photo though :(
Saving for a return trip to America, 3 weeks on Route 66 for our honeymoon just wasn't long enough!

I'd been looking on Am*zon for a Hairy Bikers cookbook and a 'quirky' sewing book for Christmas presents, and thought I'd just check the high street first. The usual bookstores were selling at near RRP (or on multi-buy offers that I didn't want), so I wandered into The W*rks this afternoon thinking it was worth a shot. And I was very glad I did!

Mapping the Railways RRP: 30.00; Am*zon price: 9.50; W*rks price: 5.99 But damaged cover so reduced to 3.99

    RRP total: 68.99

  • Good evening,

My Best bargain was the radio times 13 issues for 90p.

Each issue retails for £1.60, but the best bit was that the Xmas issue was included. This gave me and my kids the chance to look at what we wanted to watch together, as a family. Spending quality time together, and money saving! It doesn't get better than that!

    Merry Christmas to all

    Sally.
  • Best bargain for me was getting our nespresso machine , we had tried it at my best friends and sisters house and hubbie loved the coffee , after seeing a post alerting me to John Lewis where they had the nespresso U machine with the milk frother included for 109.95 from 179 .95 with a promtion of a 70 pound gift card given to us free . This meant our coffee machine was 39.95 and used the gift card on 70 quids worth of coffee pods plus a very attractive storage container for the pods worth 31.00 quid free with a welcome code .
The best thing of all is that the hubbie loves his gadgets so I get coffee brought to me in bed :) , win win all round I'd say :)
    The original janiebaby ;)
  • My best bargain has to be the DVD boxset I got for DH. I almost paid £15 on ebay, but found it in my local cash generator for only £1.99!! Okay, its not new, but its an old series, and will make my DH a very happy man. :D Sorry no picture, I wrap as I buy :( x
