  • Managed to get £10 Amazon voucher for £5 (after trying for around an hour and a half).

Grandma wanted a ceramic coloured 28cm frying pan for xmas......cue Amazon lightning deal aubergine ceramic frying pan £10.19 from £15.19 so managed to pick it up for £5.19 in total - was very chuffed with myself!
  • I cant pic Ive already wrapped it. I brought a Kurio 7s tablet off Amazon black friday lightning deals for £45, (48 with post) which is an amazing bargain as i had seen it elsewhere for £160- It was delivered in two working days, then four days after that I got an email saying that Amazon felt they could have given me a better deal, so they refunded me £29.99.

    Kurio 7s for £15. (£18 posted)

I have just got back from Ikea Milton Keynes where I was lucky enough to pick up one of the free (to first 100 family club members) live Christmas Trees. It's around 6ft and absolutely lovely.
To top it off Ikea are today giving £20 vouchers to spend in January when you spend £25 on Christmas Tree and although mine was free I still got the £20 voucher. Basically Ikea paid me £20 to take it away!

    So very happy :T :j

I bought £80 worth of chocolate for under £25 that should cover everyone. Plus have grown herb and chilli plants for presents, made pickled onions, infused oils and limoncello. My nephews presents were bought during Black Friday so discounted. I bought my mum and mil's presents in the January sale (clinique home and away for a steal). All in have saved hundreds on Christmas without having to do the mad panic shop. Just need to wrap it all now.

Just had a vision of everyone covered in chocolate after reading the above post.

I got the tassimo coffee machine on offer £45 plus £5 postage and then used the glitch in Morrisons to get some coffee to go with it. Machine also came with a voucher for £20 to spend at Tassimo.

Been buying bits throughout the year when they have been on the grabbit board, HUKD and 10 ways on FB.

Got nearly all my christmas presents on deals, offers or discounts.
I start in the January sales and collect all year round.
I have a present draw, well cupboard and when a deal/glitch/offer crops up on MSE or HDUK I always think of birthdays and christmas.
I have been doing this for the past few years and I cant thank those who post enough as I have had some fab things to give to family and friends.
this years boots glitch, M&S have been great but so has Boots 75% off back in January, M&S final instore reductions posts, all the money off codes etc to name just a few.

So no single best bargain but lots of money saving on lots of different things. :xmassmile :rudolf: :snow_grin

21 page hardbacked photobook from Artscow after being pointed to look at their websites and keep my eyes peeled for deals by the lovely people here. It literally is a book, I even got to design my own cover, there's hardly any advertising from Artscow (just one little logo on one of the back blank pages), and it has been beautifully printed, and expertly cut and bound. It was a stocking filler to mark my daughters third year. It took me a good three or four hours to design it all but it cost me $1.99 or £1.20 including free shipping and I got it after three weeks.
The cost was nothing, the book is priceless.
I also designed her an Octonauts toiletries bag size large, with her favourite characters and her own name and photo. £2.

I'll be looking out for more deals from Artscow, they're absolutely brilliant. :)

Thanks to this site, I signed up with topcashback some time ago.

My total cashback to date is now pushing £600, but I have just converted this year's haul into £154 of Amazon vouchers-making my daughter's 160GB iPod Classic a mere £15. :)

Actually, my best money-saving Christmas thing is making my own Christmas cards. I use old cards, cut off the greeting side, stick them onto white card and do a greeting insert on the computer. Saves a fortune and I enjoy picking the card to suit the person. (I do this for birthday cards too.) I know it would save even more not sending cards, but I like doing it. I also check envelopes when they arrive in case the stamp is not franked and then re-use the envelope. That has also saved me a huge amount of postage as it is surprising how many envelopes come through the door with no frank at all.
