i've had one of these for a few months now and has been really good although it hasnt been able to be wireless as far as i wanted to.
http://www.buffalotech.com/products/wireless/wireless-g-mimo-performance/wireless-g-mimo-performance-broadband-router-and-access-point-with-high-gain-antenna
so i wanted to create an access point for extended coverage
i ordered another one becuae it is an access point also
having recieved it and clicking on connections it does say full coverage so the laptop does recognise it
but it doesnt recognise to connect
ive switched the button to bridge but it still doesnt want to connect
any advice please?
many thanks

Sounds like an encryption problem, have you set up the wireless encryption? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Well you need to sort out the wireless encryption as without it others can access your network. See the user manual for details. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

having a nightmare
installed the bufalo connection wizard but this disbled windows connectionm wizard
so uninstalled the buffalo
when i had the buffalo instaled i could see a bridge connection option on windows but i couldnt do anythnig coz it all went through buffalo install
so i uninstalled buffalo and now i cant see a bridge option on my windows
this is really frustrating
is it possible to make a bridge connection via windows?
thanks0 -
You need to configure each separately as per page 43 of the user manual. i.e. the encryption key for each needs to be identical. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
