she can not afford presents for people as since being left homeless / single and pregnant she has a lot of money problems, without food her bills have been over £100 more than her income each month:eek: and she will not sign on like everyone tells her to as she wonts to go back to work
I wish there was a 'thumbs up' smilie:)
    Good luck to her:T:j:T

  • The first batch of apple danish pastries are out of the oven, cooling off. I did them all in one go, and a couple of them on the top shelf just 'caught' a bit - will still get eaten though ... I'm off round to some friends this evening and they have three daughters, so I'll take these with me. I doubt if I'll be bringing any back.:)

I used the Jus-Rol pastry and some windfall apples, so apart from a handful of currants (picked out of a value bag of mixed fruit) and a sprinkling of caster sugar, the total cost was, erm, let me work it out ... NOWT :)

:T Looking good! That's exactly what I'm making tomorrow for the same price :)

    Tenth Anniversary
Just had a text from one of my daughters asking if I think she stinks!!! I've given my kids loads of stuff from bodyshop, boots, A's, T's and other places over the last year. I wrapped up a load of stuff from the M&S glitch for her and obviously she has opened it. Apparently, she's fed up with pampering stuff!! Ungrateful cow.

my dd2 did her first whoopsie run, turned up with a big carrier bag full on her way home for us :j total spend just over a pound and another one for her. her friend who took her was so impressed and dd2 was so chuffed.
it was a thank you pressie as
early today i gave her a box full of glitchy items bodyshop/ achica biscuits and sweets cola from all the recent glitches as she can not afford presents for people as since being left homeless / single and pregnant she has a lot of money problems, without food her bills have been over £100 more than her income each month:eek: and she will not sign on like everyone tells her to as she wonts to go back to work.. tax credits now baby born will help

she was so gratefull for the box and was crying, as she can give something to her sister and best friend who have helped her so much and others,, i told her it was down to the elite and she asked if i could thank each and every one for all you do as you can not image how all the food etc and now pressies have helped her through this awful time :A she is very grateful
its hard to explain how much of a difference the elite makes to peoples lifes :A:A:A:A:A:A:A

Ahh hugs to you and your dd, times are tough for a lot of us right now. She sounds like a very lovely young lady. Being part of the elite always means that the light at the end of the tunnel is shining a little brighter.
I've squirrelled away so many bargains this year, even with only one regularly income coming in Christmas is still going to be amazing.
I count myself lucky that I stumbled upon this place, it is a blessing to part of something so wonderful. :)

We just have the one now, the one in my avatar. He's a right handful! When we bought them, we were only going to get 1, but when we saw him, we couldn't resist. He was pure white and his name is Casper. :)

This was them the day before his sister passed away. :)
