Got a few calls to make tomorrow morning Sunshine, not going to back down on this one. I asked them if they wanted me to 'fraudulently' claim housing benefit & 'pretend' to live there for 4 weeks & they hung up!!
I'm sure that the local paper and radio station would be interested in a 'human interest' story like this - "housing association victimises someone trying to give some deserving family the chance of a new home for Christmas by struggling on with their own mortgage" ... or at least that's what you can tell the housing association:)

  • Thanks lutzi l , life& good health is a truly precious thing, that all too often is taken for granted by so many x

Met up with 2 friends today, and we couldnt believe how bad we are all feeling at the mo. I've got my son with cancer and disabled as a result, one friends mum died recently and her father becauseof depression had stopped taking blood pressure medication, so had a severe stroke, and the other;s neice, who is like her daughter, has just had a double mastectomy and starts chemo week after christmas, for second time. Sometimes life sucks.

But we had the best laugh, black senses of humour all round.

Night TWEETS. I'm off to bed as well. Absolutely knackered.

Hope the rest of you have fun whatever you may get up to tonight.

I might drop the suggestion into my call to housing tomorrow, might make them reconsider. What annoys me is there are hundreds of other people more desperate for housing than me. Are they going to let a brand new house stand empty for 4 weeks then?? When they could be offering to another family before Christmas!!

Just looked and what i bought is not on there even as sold out

Earlier today i looked at champneys things, and double discount was coming off, but i didnt committ - it doesnt seem to be now. but is adding a "gift bag" instead. I;ve missed m&s and mr shoes in a couple of days. serves me right for choosing wine over glitches.

Cat now curled up as close to me as she can get on the table, half over my keyboard. Its very windy outside!
