Wendyak thinking of you and your DS. He is so lucky to have you to help pick up the pieces of devastation for him.

I can empathise with a relationship split at xmas time somehow it does make it a whole darker experience than maybe it should be. But with family and friends as support he will get through it. :)

Me and my ex split up at Christmas. First thing I did was book a holiday and I flew out on Boxing Day.

It was the best thing that could have happened to me, but yes, it didnt feel like it at the time.

If we were still together, nothing that has happened in my life since would have happened, including stumbling upon you lot :p

Wendy all you can do is be there for him xx

Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs MOC.

Wendyak - hugs to you and your son. I'm afraid he's on the giant tape recorder of life with no fast forward button to get past the hurt bit but things will get better .......... Not sure there are any better tips to what you are already doing. But maybe the following will help ..

Try to absorb him with films/DVDs (but if you can watch the content material...... no broken romances please) and be there for him when these finish and reality returns.

Oh yep - sometimes eating is just physically hard when going through something like this so wonder if liquid things would help in the short term, he can sip slowly and won't feel the need to gag hopefully...... you can get build up shakes and soups from the chemist (explain). When I had my jaw wired up long ago - advised by Drs to put raw egg in milkshake or orange juice. Or scoops of ice cream - ice cream for breakfast I needed no further encouragement :). Soups but not too thick. Lots of hugs and tissues, any mates could take him out and keep an eye on him one or two evenings this week (or just to go to their's and moan)? HTH Stay strong ......
