I'm a bit thick this morning can someone please explain whats going on here ?
Sorry, it appears to be all over.
Products were 50% off, but basket was taking an additional 50% off as well, making items free.
Quickly caught onto by M&S.The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -
Morning everyone, isn't it glorious outside :j
How long it will last I don't know as Sophie cat is home and curled up and she is a good weather indicator.
Well at least I am making progress. All beds are now stripped, washed and smelling of Lenor summer breeze, even got a duvet airing on the line.
All presents laid out on the table for a wrapping fest later - still does not look very much but both offspring have similar numbers of presents. I also wrap everything that goes into the stockings, again the stocking fodder does not look very much but by the time its all crammed in they will be full to bursting and anyway its only chocolate they are interested in.
Eldest sons Christmas birthday stuff I've been sending off as I get it - very easy this year, Christmas jumper, magazines, toiletries, books etc.
OH - well some years I do try but the house is littered with presents I've bought him he has never bothered with - Christmas jumpers, iPod camera gadgetry thing, coffee machine, bird feeding table, huge book on liners, even specialist blend coffee - all abandoned and ignored after Christmas Day. Shocking isn't it really
Well as Miranda says enough of my life and on with the show.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Today is the day I really need to get my act together, one week to Christmas.
Also significant day as its eldest sons birthday - he was supposed to a Christmas baby but he could not wait. If we are lucky we might get a Skype tonight, nearly a month since we spoke to him last - this will be his 3rd year away but at least where he is now he has good Internet.
His mates have got him a gift bundle together which is great as they are more or less confined to base so none of the usual birthday drinks, meal, cinema etc ...
Also our wedding anniversary but I'm not sure which one - maybe 31 but it might be 30. I must be the only person who can never remember the year.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
I get regular IT updates by email. Today's says "BT outed as UKs most complained about network". Not surprised, the amount of time we spend sorting out problems for customers after BT have got them back on. They rarely put extension wires back on. And yesterday my OH was moving a phone system for a business customer. They had ordered two digital lines and two analogue. The analogues were for broadband and fax. The BT guy turned up and did the analogue ones. The other BT guy never turned up to do the digital ones. There was a "technical issue" with the order and they were not booked in :eek: The worst thing is that this is not unusual. If we ran our business like BT we would have been broke a long time ago. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I haven't used one, and don't use tablets in general, so can't tell you whether it's any good or not; probably depends on what you want to use it for.
But at that price (quarter of the price of Tesco Hudl), it's got to be worth looking at.:)'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

mhoc Happy Birthday to your DS and Happy Anniversary wishes to you and your OH.
See I missed some freebies while driving DD3 to college.
Fingers crossed for all of you who managed to get quick order in that you get them.
Right that's quick tea break over, back to tidying, now what time did Dodo say she was arriving.0 -
Oh and TM I have filled up my mum's freezer yet again.
Didn't dare bring it home as we nearly have 2 shelves empty in our inside one.
I figured if I can get down enough to defrost this week I can fill it up again with the stuff at mum's.
Mr TS threw a bit of a wobbly when I filled the fridge up so would have been major wobbles if I had brought the freezer stuff in as well.
Tinyshoes -do it now! I managed to defrost both my small kitchen freezer (under counter) and the freezer in the garage (which we inherited when we moved in 13 years ago) last week -.
I have tried running them down but wasn't getting very far (but the ice was).... Anyhow had eureka moment last week as borrowed a solid coolbox from a friend and used my shopping cool bags for freezer stuff. So bobbed everything into these (and pizzas into a collapsible storage box). Took 2 hours for each one - used bowls and casserole dishes filled with hot water to loosen ice and an ice scrapper - popped all the ice into a bucket before it had chance to melt. Much easier than letting it melt and trying to get rid of cold water. Cleaned switched back on and restocked - bob's your uncle. Pleased to have finally got this done - it was bugging me - yet really not so bad once I got down to it. Other motivator was wanting to make space for the turkey - of course since then main oven door broke 2 weeks ago, no replacement and no cooker till 2 Jan this is no longer a requirement. But thankfully its a two oven and small one still working - so one decision less - turkey crown it is - ha ha (sorry but my smilies still not working). So go for it Tinyshoes - I know you want to shoehorn those post xmas whoopsies in ...
Edit - can see if I type in semi colons etc similies working but not from the panel - anyone else had this issue - and can it be fixed?)0 -

I will definitely give it a go this week, I wonder if Dodo would be up for a bit of ice scraping while she is here. :rotfl:0
