Wonder why some get offered different amounts. I also got the £9 off £60 but would prefer the smaller amount.
I have different clubcards for different shops. One for heavy coupon usage. One for "normal" shopping and one i whack all my expensive shops onto. Fortunately the conditional spends seem linked to one of the low spend cardsApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

She died nearly 31 years ago but I guess nothing can ever fill that gap. Anyway, they just played her favourite Christmas song, an unavoidable one (White Christmas) and I burst into tears! Now I understand why I am feeling a bit low I can get through it, but she never met my kids or my grandson and I really wish she had at least managed that.
Anyway, I am not after sympathy, it was a long time ago and I should be well over it, but those of you with mums still around, whether sick or otherwise, treasure them and give them a hug, you never know what is around the corner
Thank you for letting me get that off my chest
Sending lots of hugs to you

I'm having trifle made with strawberry blancmange instead of custardmy nan used to make it that way and every Christmas and other special occasion I make it. It takes 3 days but it's the best ever. Our little Christmas thing to my lovely nan :A
Hugs, double hugs and triple hugs to all that need them.

Can I have some of them please?
My brothers car company wouldn't take my credit card because I don't live at the address the car is registered to. So my plan to put it on my credit card to pay it off after Christmas has failed miserably. Instead, I spoke to them and got him some extra tine to pay, but he'd need to pay a bit more money, and it'd need to be paid off by a card registered to the same address as the car.
Although I can afford it, I'd rather not pay out £300 right on top of Christmas. So as a compromise, I offered to lend him half of it and he had another week to find the rest of it. I don't think that's unreasonable at all, especially has he gets paid between now and Monday.
So why do I feel so bad about not lending him all of it?
I had a text off him 20 minutes ago asking if I can lend him the full whack. I don't even feel like he's tried to find the rest of it.
And to top it all off, my nephews mum never told me that his Christmas play was today *wibble*I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Sounds like you have not had a good dayWe all feel guilty if we can't help family, but sometimes it has to be a bit of tough love.
Shame about your nephew's Christmas play, are the school not doing a DVD of if?
As for the trifle, my step-grandmother was the master of the Christmas trifle. I never found out what she put in it, apart from copious amounts of sherry, but it was absolutely delicious. Problem is there was no way anyone would be fit to drive after a portion :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Reading all about Christmas presents (yes all mine are wrapped and stashed) I don't think my kids have ever forgiven me for where I hid theirs one year. I wrapped them carefully and hid one under a wardrobe and one under a bed. Both in their own rooms :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
