I have nothing to add to this thread but was just having a nosey as I will have to get my pup neutered in the spring. However, I have to say bluebeary, that's possibly the funniest thing I have ever read!Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:
Debt free date April 2016!!!!:eek:0 -
I am afraid to say that flattening down to the ground and then rolling over after sounds very much like the behaviour of a mated queen.
The boy would still be fertile for several weeks after his op, so the girl needs to be done asap (you know that though)
Even if they have mated, at this point she could not technically be pregnant as eggs are not fertilised for several days after mating.
The last thing you want is a pregnant 4 month old, and it DOES happen.
Some vets say they will not spay if the cat is in season as the increased blood flow to organs makes the operation more difficult and slightly more risky. I just had a girly done and she was in full season (despite still nursing 3 kittens) all went well.0 -

 nooooooooo!
I spoke to the vets this morning and they have said there's nothing to worry about...........I have moved their ops forward to the first available date, so they'll be done next Friday.
I'll be pretty sad if it turns out my baby is pregnant. She's so tiny.I have a simple philosophy:
Fill what's empty. Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches.

Don't be sad....cats are prolific breeders and many MANY people are caught out by them maturing sooner than expected.
You are doing the right thing, and I am sure all will be well.0 -

Even if she is pregnant, it will be very early, so just go ahead with the spay surgery which will end the pregnancy. I'm sure some would disagree but IMHO this is far preferable to allowing a kitten to have kittens.0 -
I agree with the above I did work experience at a vets and watched a kitten being spade, I was shocked that it was pregnant but the vet said it happens quite often, she just spade it and the pregnancy was ended.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0
