Ok this has reached a conclusion.. My gut was right

I still hadn't heard from the guy early yesterday evening (auction ended at lunch) and so I did what he asked (before I read your advice), I sent a paypal invoice (which gave him all the paypal info I imagine), I also emailed outside of ebay a new pic (so he now had my email address).

Abit later last night, I received 2 messages from ebay saying they suspect this guy was a dodgy buyer (something about not being registered properly) and they have cancelled his bids and therefore my auction. They advised not to deal with him and NOT to send the goods, good job I hadnt already done so.

Anyway, not long after, I got an email from the guy saying he had sent me the money and included an extra £100 so I could send it to his nephew in Nigeria (lol). Not long after I got 2 emails, 1 supposedly from ebay saying this guy is legit and to send the goods (although senders email was obviously not the real ebay). the other email supposedly from paypal showing the money had gone in (again from a dodgy email).

Of course this is scam 101 stuff, so even if ebay hadnt warned me, i would have spotted the signs. But yeah I showed my newbness by doing the things I shouldnt, so thanks for the advice even though I saw it too late.

Ive decided to sell my PS4 to CEX as I suspect scammers are out in force for these desirable items.

Ive pasted the email below for info/lols:

Boy am I happy now I've decided to do that!!! Got the same Nigerian address with the exact name!! Does anyone know how to report the fraud to eBay? I'm a bit new.

You wouldn't believe it! He bid on my Xbox One, he won it and I didn't get a message till the next day. Same address with that cafe in London and then he wanted it mailed to some place in Nigeria! I could tell he was a scammer but tried to see if he was legit then just typed his address in google and bam this comes up! I was right!

    This is what I got.
