Prices of next-gen games

Games here in Canada are about $50-$60 during release if they are big name titles. I'm fairly sure the price for games will stay constant though. Can imagine anyone paying $70 for one game.0

I remember PS2 games being £40-50. Seems to be the norm for new gen games. Still overpriced though. It's best to shop online as you get cheaper deals.
The Game Collection seems to be the cheapest so far for next gen games.0 -
As the market gets bigger the prices will drop but right now its expensive. For next gen I think we will see a heavily discounted game before Christmas and my money is on BF4 because of all the issues its having.
Then eventually all games will drop and we'll see something like we have now where some games get discounted quite quickly e.g. NFS Rivals on PS3/360 has already dropped to £25.0 -

They might be 60 in game, but online if you shop around they are closer to the 45 mark suggested,
If game think they can charge 60 for a game in todays market while online retailers sell them for 10-15 less, well, theyll be the next blockbusters0 -

People will pay £60 for a game for many reasons eg they like the game points, they cba to look on other websites for cheaper prices or look on hukd for better prices.0 -

I have a slightly different view in terms of games. I enjoy the ones that either have huge multiplayer potential ie, COD or some form of MMORPG. I usually consider the initial cost divided by the amount of time played.
Example: COD MW2 for Xbox360. Both my brother, I & friends played it, over the year and we totalled around 330 hours of gaming.
We paid £35 for the game, so if you take £35/330 = 10.6p/hour of game play. To me that seems like pretty good value and its value will only increase with the longer I own/play it.Sealed Pot Challenge:

One of my favorite retailers in Canada sells Ps4 games for £35 add postage and packing and that should be around £40 a game. https://www.videogamesplus.ca0
