Flowers are always a great option, I sometimes opt for a nice Christmas hamper, not sure why but if it's varied it always seems to go down well.

I guess the "little something" that she is getting you is something to be polite because you are going out with her daughter and she doesnt want to exclude you....

Therefore I wouldnt try to guess what she likes or try too hard to get her something that matches dogs or boyzone, but perhaps go for something a little more neutral....flowers are a good idea but you probably need to buy them fresh which may not be easy ....perhaps something like a potted arrangement might be easier....or maybe a lovely scented candle...

Flowers is an option - will you see her in person to give her them? if not then sometimes a pot plant/house plant can be easier to send with girlfriend rather than flowers

Chocolates or a bottle of wine perhaps?
my gf wont give me any tips and is finding it amusing.
you could get your own back on girlfriend and pretend you are going to give something totally inappropriate but pretend you think its a brilliant idea - something like a nude calender or a copy of 50 shades of grey or something!

Baylis and Harding gift sets always look nice. Or maybe a fancy hand wash and lotion set if you're unsure about getting bath stuff?

As you haven't actually met each other yet I'm sure she's just getting you a token gift, so don't stress too much. You could always just sent a nice card and a posh box of chocolates for her family to share.

Have you even met this woman? Is your GF just letting you sweat a bit or will she genuinely refuse to help you out?

    Hi all

My gf has informed me that her mum is getting me a little something for Christmas.

What sort of thing could I get in return? Are flowers ok? I know nothing about this lady apart from that she loves dogs and Boyzone lol my gf wont give me any tips and is finding it amusing.

Something neutral for a 62yo Single female?

Well she is being a right moo.
