3 contract phone no network coverage

this is the first time i have had a contract phone been using it for 2 months fine now today every time i try and dial i have no network coverage any ideas why this is happening i am dialling from home which i have not had problems doing so before

    You might have a faulty handset.

    When you manage to get reception, give 3 a call and they will talk you through several diagnostics. If it still doesn't rectify the problem, they will repair the phone.
