(((((( Calling Molly ))))))
Just been outside to depoop the garden. The dogs followed me as usual but the wind knocked poor Milster sideways into the conifers.
Bag of poop in one hand, dog in the other.... I'm so glad to be indoors.

Evening all and special hugs to those of you in path of that dreadful storm, trust that nobody gets hurt. It has been wet and windy here, but has calmed down inlast hour or so.
We are facing another type of storm here on 16th....electricity supply workers are allegedly going on strike, if it happens we may find ourse lves cooking Christmas dinner on the barbecue outside the back door....we have gas hob and 5 open fires which we dont use very much, but chimneys are ok so we wont starve or freeze!
Found lots of cards somewhere in the house during Summer but cant remember where, so will have to do a search in the morning as my first card arrived the other day so its only a matter of time before the deluge....I really need to get my arris in gear.
Stay warm and safe

Evening all,
Late post from me again!
Has been windy all day here but seems to of died down now, quite chilly tho but i am refusing to put the heating on now DD is tucked up in bed with a hot water bottle..will get myself 1.
I have been filling out forms to claim mis-sold PPI so not much else has gone on today (other than work). Another 'use-up' tea of jacket spuds, ham and veggies- emptying the fridge ready for the monthly shop (have £50 morrisons stamps so that will save a little). Also sent for £15 Amazon voucher from my surveys so that will cover a little of the Christmas presents still to buy.
No DD this weekend so will try and do some batch cooking and sorting out ready for Christmas.
Does anyone know about Nectar points? i have a card with about £15 worth on...can i use this for food shopping? Can i redeem part points part cash on a shop??
Any help would be great as i haven't ever looked into it...Thanks in advance!
Off for a lurk...keep warm all!

Evening All (In true Dixon of Dock Green fashion)
LittleMiss look here re the Nectar Points
I spoke via IM with Molly this morning before I went out, and she said she was feeling a good bit better. She is due a transfusion tomorrow, so that will help.
Had a lovely day meeting up with some caravanning friends at Ikea near Leeds, and then lunch at TGIFridays. Not at all OS, but nice:D:beer: Skye went to some local friends for the day, they are having her when we go to "The Wedding". We had a look at TV's & Soundbars in the PCW/Currys SuperStore. It was a very welcome change to find a pleasant, knowledgeable, person to discuss the possibilities. Now need to justify the spend - or not.
Camelot Hope you got moved.
Snoozer Congrats to your DD

Evening all
We're in the area where the flooding is - our town is flooded, we live in a village outside the main town so should be ok. But my workplace will be flooded as well as all the other businesses and homes in that area - not sure exactly how bad or how many homes/businesses are effected. It's likely I can find out tomorrow - if my workplace is not operational I'm sure I will be getting a phone call telling me to go to another office or what they need me to do. Hoping everyone has stayed safe x

Evening all!
What a day, 20mph speed limit on the motorway this morning on the way to work, with HGV drivers ignoring it and trying to overtake everyone, a lorry was blown off the road not long behind me halfway there! Wild day, thoughts with you Camelot moving in that hoolie, there were roads closed all over the place with flooding, trees down etc, then the snow started, theres been a big multiple vehicle crash close to work tonight due to ice and the snow is lying, so it will be fun again tomorrow morning!
I have come home to my living room ceiling looking like a patchwork with wet spots, so will need to find a roofer pronto and fight with the neighbour's landlord as he shares half the cost but is murder to track down!
Anyhow, early night tonight as its been a loooooong day and will need to be up sharpish in the morning in case of snow and ice, take care all!RIP Iain
