    Why would they need sealed though? Are concrete tiles sealed when they're new?

    that`s spot on, there`s supposed to be a glaze on them, and when these [STRIKE]gyp[/STRIKE] err travelling chaps powerwash, grab the dosh and run, you`re left with porous roof tiles that wont weather, neighbour had an acrylic sealant on theirs, supposed to stop the wet getting into them.
