How to do a screen shot

Hi could someone please explain on how to do this so I can print out the open box on my screen that's on my screen I have tried control P but that wont work Thanks

Alt+PrtScrn copies the current focused window TO THE CLIPBOARD. That's all it does.

What you do with it from there depends on the eventual result you want.

If you want it in a pic file, BMP, JPG etc, Paste it from the clipboard into your image editing program - Paint, Photoshop, etc. If you want it as a pic within a Word doc, place the cursor within your doc where you want it and Paste. etc etc
