I use a free addon called PrintScreen from Gadwin, it can be configured to replace your normal printscreen button so that it automatically saves a copy of your screen (whole or current window) to a location of your choice. I have mine set to Desktop so basically I just press 'printscreen' button and a jpg appears on my desktop of the capture, much less messing about.....

Install it then adjust settings to suit yourself. There are 10 types of people who understand binary, those that do and those that don't !0 -

If the open box is displayed within a browser you can get an 'add-on' or 'extension' depending on your browser of choice. You can then select the area you wish to take a screenshot of0

Windows 7 has the "Snipping Tool"
look in Start Menu, All Program, Accessories - its in there
Right click on it and 'Pin' it to your start menu - Its that useful !
LINK
EDIT : Sorry Just found out it only on some versions - but been on every WIN 7 I've used, so had assume it was common
" Snipping Tool is available only in the Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions of Windows 7.0 -

Never heard of that before, it's brilliant. Thank you
Hope it works for the OP.Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0 -

Very easy to use, save to anywhere you want.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.
