Parcel2go Health and Safety Policy gone Gaga!

I do appeciate your time and effort in reading my thread and also replying. All I wanted is to share my foolish experience and hopefully some of the readers will appreciate that it could happen to them.
I am not expecting compensation nor I have put any claim. I took the risk and I have learnt my lesson.
The parcel was not lost as some of you mentioned, it was lying in the warehouse from the 25th October to the 5th November. If it was safe to be in the warehouse all that time then it couldn't be that dangerous. I could have collected it, if the company were more flexible in their approach.
Also when I requested photographic evidence, I was't expecting them to open the package. There is no health and safety involved in taking a picture of a mirror in the skip!0 -
You know. You paid p2g. Like i said city link don't have to speak to you or entertain you.
In any case, now you've informed us they had it in the depot for 11 days I think they've been more than reasonable. I can't actually see who has done anything wrong here?0 -

That's surely only relevant if they actually contact OP to tell them it was in the depot? It hardly matters how long it was there for if they never told him where it was.0 -

The story has a gap, it goes from noticing it hasn't moved for delivery to 48hrs later being told its damaged. So 72hrs after the OP notices it hasn't moved...now we heard it sat still for 264hrs.
The OP did contact them, when he noticed it hadn't been delivered on the day after it arrived into depot...so somewhere there is a gap of 192hrs in the story...0 -

So yes, there is a lot of health and safety involved. You don't seem to realise how ridiculous and unreasonable you're being. The Royal Mail says that "If glass is in the frame there needs to be a surround of a minimum of 10cm of cushion material and placed in a rigid container", similar to the line used for glass and china." so I doubt the packaging was actually sufficient even if you think it was. 10cm is a hell of a lot of bubble wrap.
This is for picture frames, so mirror are even more fragile.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

No, its not lost! It's been sent to landfill.0 -

Not knowing which landfill doesn't make it lost. It means they've disposed of it and all responsibility for caring of it.0

I think the courier should pay up in full if they can't provide a simple photo showing the shattered mirror.
Disposing of a broken item without taking a photo is idiotic and unprofessional.
If they can't prove it was broken, they should pay up, as how do we know an employee doesn't have a nice mirror for their house?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
