Looks like yet another reason not to bother with Halfrauds. Seems to be happening in all stores. Very annoying when you just want to shop.

Tell them you have recently been declared bankrupt, and can't enter into any new credit agreements without permission of the courts."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

If you look on the other side of the coin there are only jobs available where there are opportunities. I used to work in Topshop and like them a lot of places sell store/credit cards. If you don't want them then say no. They will still say something else to try and persuade you. If they talk again say no and walk away. If you continue to have a problem say you have one already, (like said above you are bankrupt) or if they don’t leave you alone that it is harassment. As long as people open them for a quick fix the jobs will become available.Debts: Gym £[strike]465.75[/strike] Student account [strike]£1039.88[/strike] Overdraft [strike]£129.00[/strike] Credit Card [strike]£2772.22[/strike] Loan [strike]£6222.01 [/strike]
Total £10628.86

Do they stand in your way and block your exit?
You could say "no thank you" and carry on walking. You should try it, works every time.0 -

Try it in the garden a few times first and then goto Halfords.

Don't even acknowledge that they exist, just walk right past ignoring them. Yes some might think it rude, but then again I think what they do is rude."One thing that is different, and has changed here, is the self-absorption, not just greed. Everybody is in a hurry now and there is a 'the rules don't apply to me' sort of thing." - Bill Bryson0

The annoying thing about them is they don't stand next to a display stand with leaflets, they actually wander around the store and follow you.0

Thanks to this website & Martin's weekly email,I'm a wee bit more savvy than ordinary Joe Public on what are the best credit card deals. Whenever I'm asked if I want a credit card, my 1st question is 'what's the APR?'. I then laugh as I say (loudly) "How much?!" & quote the best deal at the moment. I then suggest they visit here!
Don't let them 'get to you' or annoy you, see it as a goal to instead convert them & any others within earshot to moneysavingexpert.com!0 -
Recently in our Asda we've had the credit card sales people wandering round.
I went in about three times one week and literally got chased round the store every time by the same guy offering me a credit card and would not take no for an answer.
They are now based at the petrol station and pounce on you when filling up.0 -
If they legalised guns these people wouldn't stick around. "Good afternoon sir, we have a fantastic special..." - "Want some special lead?" (shows gun).0
