Mrs Cheshire I've been on clixsense, clicking to view ads and completing surveys. I've got a listof others to try too!

MrsSmith, my mum is great. She always says she will support me whatever I do and to tell her anything but I don't want to burden her. We've never missed a payment and at the minute I'm doing everything in my power to pay off extra. I'm tackling the smaller one first, want to get that to under £1000 as soon as poss.

Lovely day today, took the kids to see Santa, magical time of year!

Watching polar express now and going on clixsense!

Right another £5 paid off the po card today from surveys.

Also on a mission to lose weight! Found a £40 off coupon for sw online, so gold membership was £59.95 for 3 months. Mum gave me £50 for Christmas so I've used that.

Back to work tomorrow booooo! But looking forward to having an income again!

Also still got £125 left from Christmas fund which will be added to emergency fund if not needed over next couple of weeks.

    Positive start to new year.

In other news though hubby still thinks its funny to moan about wanting this that and the other, a £750 tv being the latest. Grrrr.

  • Hi cmcavon, just catching up with diaries and thought I would say hello. How is the debtbusting going?

Did you sign up to SW? How is that going? My attempt to be "healthy" is failing quite miserablely really, but I'm concentrating on the finances first and then will look at other things!

I think the TV your hubby is going on about is definately a man thing, they just don't get it do they?!

Hi mrs smith, sw was a waste of time and money! I have zero willpower! My subscription runs out next week so I've cancelled it!

My debts are very slowly going in the right direction. We've made a decision though that we want to try for baby number 3 which is what I've always wanted but the money side of things scares me! I know if we don't I will always wish we had so I'm trying to prepare as much as possible, paying off debts at above the minimum as well as putting a bit away! Not that easy!

I posted on the family forum the other day about our thoughts for baby number 3. Had some mixed responses due to my debt but its definitely something we want! Going to have 12 months of mammoth debt busting then consider it again.

If only I knew in my spending days what an impact debt can have! I will certainly be more open about money with my children than my parents were with me! They were quite wealthy so although I wasn't spoilt money was never an issue. They said it was rude to talk all about money so I grew up not understanding finances. Learnt my lesson the hard way but feeling positive now.

Paid another £50 off the cards this week, taking the smaller one under £1400 yay! The big one will come under £7000 in the next few weeks, can't wait! Hoping to pay another £50 on Tuesday.

On track with the weight loss this week too. Been super good since Monday and really hope I stick at it this time. Easter is going to be a challenge!

Ha just had a read back through my diary, what a bad place I was in at first! Glad to say things are a lot brighter a the min, no sleepless nights over money. Managed to save £1000 emergency fund which is necessary as we rent our house out and need a fall back for repairs, mortgage etc. We're adding to this as well as paying the cards off. Also have £300 ready for Christmas as last year I'd saved £500 and this stopped us spending on credit cards.

Also things have settled with hubby, he saw how debt was effecting me and is now on board with getting straight.

My job is unpredictable so things may change but plodding on steadily at the min.

Had been hoping to pay £50 off the big card this week but just paid £25, son has some fees that need paying Friday so had to cut it back a little. Hoping to pay a little more off next week on top of minimum payment.

Big card is now under £7000, what a great feeling! It's not going down fast enough for me though! Hopefully get it knocked down some more next week.

I've been swag bucking and finally earned enough points for £10 paypal so once that's arrived I will be putting that on one of them.

Also today paid £20 towards my national insurance bill so I can get that paid off in installments before deadline in July.

    Feeling positive :)
