I've been a member previously and never got far with facing any of my problems. Things need to change!
Debt and money worries are touching every part of my life. I'm having more and more own days where I feel like breaking down in tears at the slightest thing.
My husband knows our situation but if anything makes things worse and I'm seriously considering leaving him and making a fresh start but there are children involved.
Feel so low today. Just needed to make a start at getting things out in the open somewhere!
I've done the questionnaire with stepchange which has advised continuing with min payments.
Will post more details later on but this is me for now.

Hello, welcome to these boards :-)
No matter how bad it is, there is always a solution and there are so many lovely people on here who will support you!
Talking to stepchange is definitely the right thing, and maybe post an SOA on here as then others might be able to help see savings etc that can be made?

Right day two...
Feeling a little happier today, that'll be because hubby's back at work!
I'm aware the best thing to do next is post soa so will do that as soon as I feel able. My income fluctuates though as I'm self-employed.
I put some money aside through the year for Christmas but may still struggle! I'm taking a full two weeks off to be with my children which I'm worried about financially but it's time they desperately need with me and they will always come first. I am suspecting we will use a credit card for some bits over those two weeks though 😳
The wind battering the house is giving me something else other than money and stress so I'm not complaining about that!Making £1,000 plus every month from home :T0 -
I seem to be a little addicted to mse! Got half an hour to myself this morning and I'm spending it on here! Can only be a good thing surely.
Been browsing through other diaries for inspiration and I think that's what will get me through this, knowing I'm not the only one in this situation.
I've got a few jobs to do today but desperately need to get my tax return done ASAP so I can tell tax credits my actual income. I think they will owe me some money which would be great if it came before Christmas! Here's hoping!Making £1,000 plus every month from home :T0 -

House is a tip, I've eaten two mars bars but can't get it all right in one day.

Goodluck with it all. you see once you write something down like I'll tackle tax credits then its amazing what can happen.
Keep your chin up, we've all been there and slowly got through it.
Hugs and plenty of them.

Hello! I'm pretty new too, and now utterly addicted to MSE forums. They are helpful, and so are the challenges- nice to have support.
If you've not already tried it, I found a spending diary really useful and pretty terrifying! Found all those little leaks where money is sneaking off unnoticed.
I hope things pick up for you soon, and that you find some respite from money worries over Christmas. It's horrible sitting worrying about it.Debt: [STRIKE]£8652[/STRIKE]£8550:eek:

Yes it felt good to get those jobs done. Tax credits said they will owe us some money but will wait and see how much when new award comes through. Fingers crossed for before Christmas.
Naughtily bought a bottle of Bacardi today (hangs head in shame). Although it was a cheap version from aldi! We don't go out spruce so I'm justifying it but still felt bad paying at the till!Making £1,000 plus every month from home :T0 -
