    Mr. Hbbb bought me a new tin opener (actually this should be in grey clouds too because I really want a kitten. I was really excited because it happened when dogs were out which would be excellent for introducing a new ball of fluff to the household. So, he told me to close my eyes and open my hands ready for my present, so I cupped them over a pillow in case it was a wiggly kitty but no, cold, hard steel of a tin opener). Grateful for gift (but secretly very disappointed).
    :rotfl: I roared when I read this. Mr Merle likes to play this trick on me constantly. I'm sure one day it will be a kitten though, I'm sure he can't resist seeing the look of shock/surprise/gleeful delight when I finally get one and is merely building the suspense. ;)
    Simple Pleasures: Lady and the Tramp is based on real life! The dogs have a habit of trying to nick any spaghetti I cook for the hens, so I tried the experiment of seeing if they could each start at the different end of the same strand and meet in the middle ... and they did, kinda! I know there would have been different issues if meatballs had been involved though!
    I want to test this on All Dogs I Meet henceforth. :rotfl:

    One day our kitty will come, eh P*M

    Doggies sat nicely to do this again today so Mr Hbbb could see (to cheer him up of course). I think he was impressed, it's so hard to tell!

    Hope you're good P*M!

    Today I did: remember to weigh myself and log onto free weight track app; work; dog walk (quicker pace as per Tilly walking method - I like to think of this as a Tilly Stride-y, to rhyme with tidy!); phoned door man but no call back; phoned consultant but no call back; just under 6,000 steps on pedometer :T

    Today I didn't:
    style my hair, just dried my fringe so it didn't look mad, then left the rest to look, well, mad; scrub henhouse, must try again tomorrow if I can get deadlines met early enough.

    ;)MFW actions:
    1) NSD;
    2) Opened new bank account online. Will use it for my day to day domestic goddess stuff and use my old day to day one for the emergency fund. Figure it will work better this way around as my Fleabay PayPal account is linked to the old one, so any funds I raise that way can go straight into emergency fund! For opening account and swapping debits etc over I'll also get £150 vouchers, to put towards Xmas fund!

    :(Grey clouds: tired, that dust of yours is pretty potent stuff A*M!
    Mr. Hbbb stayed off sick and is picking up antibiotics tomorrow to clear his chest, so not good he's still grotty but excellent he's doing the right thing at last!

    :) Silver linings: no rain today, hardly any mud left in little park (although newly groomed dogs found the little bit there is of course).

    :pDaily declutter: nowt today but charity bag came through door today for collection at end of week, so going to go for a 15 in 15 with it on Weds or Thurs! Total 86 / 365 ongoing.

    :D Simple pleasures:
    Sparrows definitely building nest in box by our bedroom window. Watched them today whilst waiting for kettle to boil, busy collecting nasty materials! Saw they had a nice clump of grey fluff from Mr. Hbbb's home hair trim (always done I garden if weather permits)! Feels good to have provided them with house and bedding!

    Hope all well for everyone, have a good week.

    Today I did: pretty much the same as yesterday but less steps as no dog walk due to evil weather and streaming cold. Mr. Hbbb banned me from going out in it, so dogs now sulking at both of us.

    Today I didn't: exactly the same as yesterday! Hair-wise I could body-double for Kate Bush on her forthcoming tour.

    ;)MFW actions: NSD; been accepted for the new bank account so this week will be spent setting that up as continuing good works towards mortgage free days!

    :(Grey Clouds: weather

    :)Silver lining: new phone arrived, must make time to find my way around it. Very pleased considering it's less than current contract!

    :pDaily Declutter: Box of old folders and files that haven't been picked up by Freecyclers into recycling - although Mr. Hbbb decided he wanted two of them the minute they were dumped, despite the fact they've been sitting in the garage for 3 months! Counting as 1 item although box contained several! Total 87 / 365.

    :DSimple pleasures:

    * Unexpected opportunities
    * Making the bed up with crisp clean sheets after Mr. Hbbb's lurgy fest
    * Nice people (linked to unexpected opportunities)
    * Hens
    * Realising I've lost 5lb since last week! This to be a target area in April!

    Hope everyone's Ok. not to grim and chilly on this wet evening. Hugs if you need them x

    Thanks Lois! In myself I feel like it's slowed up a bit because none of the freecycle bit is moving, but I guess so long as things are trickling out it's all to the greater good!
    Hope you're OK! Count down to Easter holidays begun yet? Hope you're hanging on in there!

    Thanks Alchemilla, am using a free app, weighing myself daily and juicing one meal a day at the moment, to gear myself up for April. Ooh and trying to walk more as per Tilly methods!

    Thinking of you in the run up to Easter, hope you're sailing smoothly towards the end of term! :)
