I had a great experience when phoning up Sky today, so I thought I would share it
As it stands I'm in a bit of a poor position finance wise and I'm having to cut back in many areas. So I was advised to contact Sky to see if I could haggle, as I'm currently paying £51 a month.
So I phoned Sky and explained my situation and was advised I could receive half price line rental for a month, taking my bill to £31 a month. The maths doesn't really add up but I've had an e-mail confirming this.
Happy customer definitely staying with Sky x

For just a month ? You are correct that that doesn't make sense as line rental is £15 something, so half would be under £80

Yep I have no idea what else has been halved but I got a text message confirming my new monthly bill amount.
I shan't ring up and complain, lol xx0 -
I think I'd have been inclined to try to push that a little further but ......... if you're happy.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

1 month?
Just cancel it and you will save yourself £51 every month.0 -
I require the internet, and an active phone line, for my job AND I'm tied in to a contract for 12 months so it's not as simple as cancelling it unfortunately. xx0

To be fair to Sky,the OP is under contract
so they could have done nothing0 -

He obviously wasn't offered the deal while still under the original minimum term!
