    Of course you are right Tumboodle, there is no easy answer to that I am afraid, other than hope the economy picks up maybe, and they can get back into their field?

    It must be completely soul destroying to be made redundant at those kind of ages and struggle to get back into the profession you have always been in
    The opposite of what you know...is also true

    It is, they tell me so!

    Mind you being in the group of 60+ does have it's advantages - my total benefit payments and pensions adds up to the equivalent of a gross salary in excess of £48,000 a year!

    It's just for those from 50 to 62 that are having these problems.
