Michael Jackson and bubbles ... That had me chuckling lol
Hi Watty welcome and thanks for the compliment
Well today I decided to empty the teramundi, this was originally for our 25th anniversary or later for going to uni, I think with me going to uni we will have to put the 25th anniversary idea to bed till I am finished with uni, however, now that our savings have been depleted we havent got any savings left so can't take advantage of my great savings rate with the notionwide any more ... So with this in mind I will be putting the money from the teramundi into the high interest account to earn some money before the great interest rate drops, the plan is it still stays as uni money but hopefully this way it will earn a wee bit of money as well
Dinner was the pork, 125g is ok but not entirely filling, but I will need to get used to it I think0 -

It certainly was Tilly
it had been money i had been squirreling away since deciding to celebrate our 25th anniversary... it's all the savings we have now ( apart from a S&S I.S.A ) but its better than nothing so i am happy
Now to build on it and get back to being in the black etc so that we can feel slightly more relaxed again0 -
Well we ate the last of the pork, it was ok but pork isn't my fave type of meat, but at a reduced price I can't grumble
We have actually managed to not have the heating on for a few days due to the good weather, tomorrow Mr El finishes up for Easter so he will be organising his cd's so that they can either go to music magpie or a charity shop etc, I finish Friday morning and if I don't get any overtime shifts next week then I think I'm off for a few days0 -
Have been doing more pension research again, Mr El has a company pension so it is different from my pension stuff, a whole new world of learning is ahead of me I think, but it's all very interesting if a little confusing0

ok so tonights dinner was Chicken tikka Chasni on an onion paratha with curly kale on the side, all reduced or using up old stuff in the fridge and all very delicious, Mr El really is a good cook
Last night of night shift then i am off till Sunday, i managed to pick up a shift in the other job i do so am very happy with that0 -
so work life balance so far seems to be working out well ... having a home cooked meal is deff a step in the direction that helps me know its coming back to where it should be, was reading HBB's diary the other day and i noticed she discussed how when her work life balance wasnt right her diet wasnt right either, it was like a wee light buld moment for me, she has hit the nail on the perverbial head for me... when i am not eating right or excercising right ... you can guarantee my work life balance isnt right, ( it still isnt perfectly right just now but is getting there) i have concentrated on my diet and eating so many times in my life i gave up counting a long time ago, maybe i need to work on getting my work life balance perfect and keeping it there, maybe by doing that i will be healthier.
I do really well till something pushes its way forward, and that something tends to mainly be work, so for the rest of this month and next month i am going to work on getting my balance right, i'm going to leave the eating etc and work on my balance with the hope that the eating and excercise will follow
does anyone else find this ?0 -
Well it's been a wonderful few days
We have dinner at a friends tonight
Mr El and I have noticed our gas consumption is down, I will need to take exact figures to find out how down it is, but I've noticed since we have got the fires up and running we have only had the heating on maybe 3/4 hours and quite a few days we have just had the fire and no heating at all
It's still cold at night time so we still need that heat in the house and when the core temperature I the house drops it is freezing ( that's when we have used the gas )
But so far the fires are slowly starting to pay for themselves ... I think it will be a long time before they are cost neutral though.... But then I've yet to have a car that is cost neutral at all0
