bt sports on sky

I have the full sky package and sky broadband. I want bt sports but think the 15 pound activation fee is a joke. Has anyone on sky managed to get bt sports and bt waiver the activation fes? Thanks guys.

No wtf1111. They won't wave the fee because they don't want it to be cheap. They want users to move to BT BB. Its a deliberate strategy. And up to now, its working too.

You have statistics to back up your claim? Are Sky customers moving to BT broadband in extra numbers because of BT Sport?

Apologies, I meant BT's BB and telecomms numbers, not specifically Sky users moving to BT BB.

I will be clearer in future. And I'll now write that out 100 times on a blackboard. :)

Not necessarily, but I just left sky to go back to vm to avoid paying for bt sports as a separate fee ;)

If you think the activation fee is a "joke" then don't pay it.

BT have put up a lot of money to secure football rights and they need to recoup some of it. Part of the attraction to be with BT Broadband is that this service is included at no charge (so it offsets having to deal with Indian call centres to some extent). It is an inducement to switch if you like football. I can't see £15 is that outrageous.
