Lilt and Jellytots most excellent adventure...

Ooh step I had chilli and coriander prawns and some river cobbler (white fish I just baked in the oven) on stir fried greens & mushrooms. It was lovely lovely lovely and I am very full and happy.
Have got to go out a walking though as my pedometer says 6579 steps only. I know I walked without it all morning but I feel obligated and it will do me good and help my dinner settle.

Well done for going to the doc. So pleased you saw a good'un. I weigh dd several times a week- hope that doesn't sound too ocd! It is a game for us as she crept up towards the 3 stone mark and would then pop over or dip under according to recent issues with her health. Fully clothed, soaking wet, full bladderand having just eaten, she might make 3 stone 1! She is on the 0.2-9th percentile, and was off the bottom of the charts for a while for weight. Height-wise she is shooting up (like Levi's su flower) but still on the same % - again around 9th.
On another note: just how long does your fitbit need to charge??? I do mine whilst sitting at the pc.
And another note: anecdotal evidence, mind, adult reflux/ hearyburn/ indigestion solved by going gluten free. Think that's from the Shapeshifterguys (cue a gooogle search)Ryan Murdoch, Adam Steer - it was one of those two.
Sorry you didn'tlose any weight. But to gain none when you've had company and eating out is equally awesome xxNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Oh lilty, my boy was on ranitidine for a while when he was a baby, strangely he didn't seem to mind taking it. It wasn't strong enough for his silent reflux though and we had to up him to omeprazole which many a pharmacist used to give me scathing looks for when I picked his prescription up as if to say 'you're giving your baby WHAT?!', but if they'd seen the pain and suffering he went through everytime he needed a drink or feed they'd know.
Unfortunately it did have horrible side effects though which left him so horrifically constipated, poor little thing.
He was on meds from 6 weeks old until around the age of two, but I can tell he still has reflux problems even now.
When it gets bad, he has hiccups constantly, wakes up or cries out in his sleep lots and you can hear a sort of weird low screeching noise from his throat when he swallows. He also goes off his food too.
O was also usually sick when lying down too. His was the silent type, so rarely sick, just pain, but getting food in his was, and still is, a battle. His weight dropped massively too and he is still in the lower half of his percentile and he has real issues with food and is scared of trying new things.
He still can't drink thick things like smoothies or juice without bringing it back up, so I water them down. Bulky textured food is tough for him too, so anything lumpy etc he struggles with and gags on.
I do so hope they get to the bottom of Jelly's problem soon, it is so hard watching your otherwise perfectly normal little person suffer like that isn't it. Until you've been there too, people have no idea how much of a worry it is and how much you grow to dread mealtimes and bedtime.
Am always here if you want to chat lovely, this is one thing I know a bit about, although sounds like Jelly's is very much intolerance-related.
Lots of love to both of you

Lilt. You do know muscle weighs three times as much as fat. Given how you've been exercising, I'd say that may account for the absence of weight loss. As for jelly, it's difficult to see but she's getting the right care now. My dd was undersized for her first 7 or 8 years with ongoing tummy problems. Now, only issues tend to be associated with mad socialising. Just hang in there and take your time outs when you can.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Hi guys
Thank you all for the help and thoughts. INOD I wish I could say it was muscle, but if you lot could see me trying to do a rocky impression on the steps, the last thing you would be thinking was she is adding muscle. More like she is going to collapse :rotfl: - apparently women put it on at about a pound every month so I can't really account for it. I can account for not eating enough last week compared to the two before, due to circumstances and illness with Jellytot and lack of time to get food ready. I have rectified it now hopefully and am well prepared for the week ahead
apple not OCD at all, with the issues she has with food I would be weighing her daily!as for the fitbit. An hour & a half. I just didn't time it right so that I could sit still while it charged this time unfortunately, the last time it ran out was at work so I was fine, mostly in my chair with a few flights of stairs missed.
Me&O what a wealth of knowledge. I am shocked but today she has been so much better it is hard not to put it down to the simple medication. She went to nursery, they wrote down everything she ate for me when I told them she had not been eating. They are pretty amazing. Then she came out, went to the dentist with no issues, charmed the pants off everyone and got 5 stickers :rotfl: she kept climbing in the chair and opening her mouth wide eery chance she got :rotfl: - she is a different child. Still hesitant about food, but overall eating a lot more! She has had oranges, raisins and some apple today along with her sandwich, some crisps and a bit of banana bread. She is currently eating sausages dipped in ketchup but I doubt she will eat much and none of the peas and carrot 'chips' to go with them. Fingers crossed, this helps but I want to know a cause!
I have just put my foot in it massively it would seem and am feeling quite down and upset about it. One of my *problems* is that I am far too open and honest. It leaves me wide open for misinterpretation amongst other things. It is a blessing in some ways as I am able to ramble away on my diary like nothing else, but at the same time I sometimes need to just keep my mouth and fingers shut.
As this is one of those times, I am going off for a little while to figure myself out.
Fear not, I shall be back, maybe by the weekend, and trying not to tread on too many toes in the interim time. xxx

Hi Lilt, glad to hear that Jelly has been better today, hope she keeps it up.
Good luck with your diet this week, I too seem to have lost nothing weight-wise but have been eating badly this weekend so that's probably why.
