I tried to go shopping for new underwear at the w/e and couldn't find anything in M&S and Debs

:rotfl: The cheek
If it's any consolation MeandO I'd be honoured to take you out in a beautiful dress (WITH YOU IN THE DRESS):p
x
See you at softplay then Levi, yes? lol! :rotfl:
Lilty, you and Jelly coming too??:D:D
Aw Lilty, your day sounds pretty pants and 'one to write off'. I hope Jelly is tucked up in bed now and will sleep soundly for you all night so you can both recharge your batteries. I'm hoping little O does the same, but there has been coughing and mumblings a-plenty from his room since he dropped off, so I'm not counting my chickens.
See you in the 'dark circles' club tomorrow eh lovely lady??? BRING FOUNDATION! and tubes of that under eye concealer that doesn't work....
sending hugs

Hello Lilt and chums! I've been lurking but not posting for a while due to the black dog and lots of family and work stuff. I have been avidly following you though and the cushions look beautiful as does the news about promotions and clothes! I've kondoed my whole wardrobe of clothes and reduced it by about 70 percent. It really works!
I'm in a single parent tailspin at the moment as lots seems to be going wrong with family relationships. Echoes a bit of what you've said lilty. My daughter had her hair cut really short this weekend to even it out so she can start growing it. It's not ideal but the family reaction has been awful. One sister said DD looked like HIM who was a heavy duty domestic abuser. He was cruel and abusive in many ways to both my children and they have long lasting challenges as a result. DD found the comment incredibly insensitive and hurtful and sent a rude text with several swearwords to her aunt before I could stop her. It was done in fifteen year old anger and hurt. Not right of her to do at all I know.
The upshot is that my mother has again lectured me about every aspect of my poor parenting from getting the dog, through the way DD dresses (sloppy skater style), my lack.of parental authority to being too liberal in my views etc etc. My mother says that my relationship with my two sisters and her and my father is over. So I'm not a happy person. I will not betray my DD as I've tried to explain before how upset she is by any comparison to HIM. They all brush away her feelings as immature and silly and don't accept that she has any right to feel hurt or angry about the things they say.
I'm not expecting any of you to agree with me but if you have any words of wisdom about this whole thing I'd really appreciate it. I am at my wits end and so fed up I could cry. Pretty pathetic and feeble and unlike me.
Sorry for dumping on you all and hope you are having a good day. XxWith family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

Hi stepuptothepl8
Now don't run and hide before I say this, and Levi, cover your ears and/or eyes! :rotfl::o but I have started buying 'normal' underwear from Ann Summers - their err, 'non-kinky' range of bras and knickers are the nicest fit I've found and really comfy (and I'm a C/D cup so not small).
They're also often on sale, so are quite reasonable.
Failing that, I've recently bought some lovely stuff from Boux avenue (online), which was all really nice. Plus, if you sign up to their newsletter you get discount off your first order, and there's often voucher codes too if you google them.
Hope that helpsMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Hopefuljoy, I haven't really been in a similar position, but I just wanted to send you hugs.
I agree, your sister's comment was incredible insensitive, is she aware of how much it has upset your daughter? Hopefully she can see through the way your DD has lashed out to see that beneath it is a young person who is hurting and she should really have been more understanding of your daughter's feelings.
I'm sorry to hear your parents have also reacted badly. It sounds like everyone's emotions are pretty fraught at the moment. Maybe it would be best to leave things to settle down for a little while until everybody has had time to cool down a little and then try and explain to them what you are feeling and how the black dog affects you in your daily life.
Really sorry I can't be of much help, but just wanted to say you're not alone, we're all here if you need someone xxMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Meando, what a kind and wise lady you are! Unfortunately my family is very big on outrage and far less good at empathy, I like to think me and my DD and DS are exceptions to this rule. I am going to leave it all to cool down for a while as everyone is too overwrought at the moment.
Website, I simply can't understand how they could say that after the incredible focus you have shown. I used to be a human resources manager and have to say I never did think appraisal systems were any good. Ho hum.....
Nite nite and tomorrow is another day. XxWith family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day, I just wish sometimes my employer management lives one day in my body so they have a ounce of an idea how much daily pain can affect your motivation and umph....
ho hum indeed, painkillers are due, surprised you lot can't hear me rattling -
