Yoohooo!! Climbed down off my cloud a bit now.

I should have mentioned earlier but I was literally swamped with work and shouldn't have been on at all... I went in to the place I walk past on my way to and from work, on my lunch break. I needed to go out and get a colleague some cash as he bought me a mass amount of Mr T's teabags (cause I love em) and I owed him the money for them and didn't bring it in. Was a great opportunity to go in and poke around whilst it was open and... decide I could do better for the money. It was veneer in some places, and the internals were not well looked after and quite wobbly. So I decided to go away and think about it and I might, in light of new financial information, plump for something a bit more solid when I find it :) but I am not rushing.

My new pay rise equates to 11.8%. The bonus, after tax, will comfortably buy me a new wardrobe of clothes without hitting the savings, probably a piece of furniture 3x the price of the one I saw if I wanted, and maybe a smidge left over for the savings after those, but in effect it has saved savings from the hit of the clothes, so hey :D

And my hourly rate (yeah I geeked out and did the maths) has gone up to something that makes me feel rather valued :j

The review itself was the best I have ever had, and I have had some good ones over the years. There was not a single down point. There never has been on the *work* front but this was different. This was, my conduct in the office has been noted; they have been impressed with my maturity in the face of issues from colleagues with I QUOTE :rotfl: 'serious pyschological issues' and as one boss pointed out.. after making a  face at the other boss using the above phrase, he was very surprised I hadn't gone all *Lilt* on them. This is apparently where I get a large stick and poke the sleeping bear/colleague with it repeatedly upon discovering that I annoy them in some way... :o:o:o So I'm tenacious? And I don't take crap lightly... oh and I've matured a bit too so no longer do it in quite such a... tactless way? :rotfl:

I made the point, after they said they had smacked down the threat of a grievance, that the one thing that annoyed me about it was that I could have been sat in my bosses office complaining on a weekly basis about my treatment from said colleague. But I rose above it; was professional, mature.. and totally unLiltlike in general. And it bit me squarely on the bum. I described the atmosphere as black clouds rolling across the office ceiling, and lightning in the corner on particularly fraught days. Had them laughing a lot which is great :) they know I don't take things very seriously. When it comes to work, I have laser focus. When it comes to colleagues.. I apply a filter and ignore them these days.

    I've matured. get me! :o

Anyways. I went all crazy and.. erm. Bought teabags? :rotfl: - Him celebrated by buying me ice cream aplenty as there were no daffodils in the supermarket. But I will probably set about looking at my clothes this weekend and replacing some.

Am swanning off to read diaries and catch up now. I made a startling discovery today whilst dressing up for work like a proper person. (I wore a dress and tights) - my super strength sucky in tights actually helped my back tremendously. Consider this. It is Friday and I am as yet painkiller free! :j And I did far more walking than my usual 4 miles. It is getting a bit grumpy now though, but I think I ought to look at a back support belt. Any suggestions peeps?

Lots of love. And thank you for all of your lovely comments! xxx
