Grey and cold here today, but no heating on because I have been out all day and so has everyone else.
I am just about to light the stove though.
Had to see Doctor first thing and she is sending me for a hip x-ray, so I have to ring and book that tomorrow. Then I went toddling around the town and got a joint of beef from Asda that will cut into two for £8.79 at £4 a kilo it is a really good price, they didn't have many rump left it seemed to be all silverside and topside and I have never had a decent joint from those cuts so I want to get some more on Thursday.
DD got news today that the company she works for has gone up for sale and her job looks decidedly precariousshe has an interview on Friday so please send lots of positive vibes her way.

Yesterday DGS was taken to Dr with bad cough, ear infection and high temperature. Dr told DD something going round as he had treated a number of kids with same symptoms.
Today I had lunch with a former colleague. Great to have a good catch-up. Afterwards it was off to my mum's to wish her a happy 92nd birthday. She still lives independently and is a marvellous woman for her age - hope I'm as sharp if I ever make her age.
Have a lovely evening everyone :beer:0 -

I have finally gotten round to washing the bath towels. Had a quick hoover and general tidy up. Sorry to worry you - Donny I will be in touch soon xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
