In my Past Times (closing sale bargain) Victorian-style Advent calendar - Father Christmas with a sack
DH left for his meeting in Bristol at 7am, having thundered round the house for 45 minutes. He runs on tram lines and can't do anything any other way, so although he put his wallet, coins and keys outside the bedroom, he still had to wander round in his pants for 10 minutes before running the taps full blast while he shaved, then opened the wardrobe again for his clothes.... then acted surprised when I was awake. The light was on the whole time too, so nobody could sleep through it unless they were narcoleptic.
The cleaners are coming at 10 so I'm dragging myself round putting things away to give them a clear run.
The exam papers finally arrived at 4pm yesterday - they had not been sent first class, despite the promises. I have emailed to point out that I can't meet the deadline as they arrived after it :wall:
Off to find the kitchen under the weird things that are spread around it!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

JackieO, hope the arm is better.
JulieG glad baby is feeding better.
LW sorry you have been feeling low again, I hope things get better.
I had a lovely day yesterday with sis-in-law and some cousins, rather spoilt by having to drive 200 miles including rush hour through Bradford!
Lots to do today. I need to pick up a parcel, make Crimble pud and put the fruit for the cake to soak. I also need to clean the house ready for the decs at the weekend. Better get on.0 -

Morning everyone
Went swimming early and feel very energised to crack on with jobs downstairs done just having a cuppa then doing upstairs.
Tree etc all up and feeling very festive, excitement building for our Aussie granddaughter arriving in three weeks, and her parents too of course! I do feel lucky and feel so for those who aren't looking forward to this time of year, I've had a few of those myself, including a parent dying at Christmas time. I'm near Margate in Kent if anyone needs any support.:xmastree::xmassmile:xmassmile

Good Morning chums well the anti bios are kicking in and the redness is lass today than yesterday.I have lost that 'shivery' feeling as well which is good as I really don't have time to be ill
:)
I had a really early night (9.30) wwhich did me the world of good.Up bright and early this morning and school run done and dusted. Was met at 7.,45 a.m. this morning at DDs house with her yougest son Mikey (9) singing at the top of his voice 'Deck the halls with boughs of holly' very Christmassy:):) quite brightened my day up:):)
He went to the Museum of Kent life yesterday dressed as a Victorian raggamuffin and very cute he looked as well with the help of a few smudges of dark mascara on his face for special effects:)
What it is to be nine years old and not a care in the world That boy wakes up smiling everyday bless him.He is so like his late Granddad:)
Well this morning I am off to coffee morning at U3A and tonight is quiz night so I have to be on top form for that:)
I fished my winter coat out of the wardrobe and to me great delight it drowns me as I have lost two stones since last winter.Shame really as its a nice bright red and very Christymassy.I may wear it anyway with A thick jumper as its such a nice cheery colour.I love bright colours and most winter coats are dark.I will have to have a search in the sales to see if I can find another one as bright as this one.I have my best coat but that is mainly for funerals which at my age I go to far too many and its black with a fur collar, but I hate wearing it as its just too depressing.
Oh well onwards and upwards chums
Have a great day whatever you are doing
Cheers JackieO xxx
P.S Carolbee I had a lovely piece of salmon on Saturday night I had got reduced from Sainsbobs and it was delicious with lemony/herby mash and cut green beans. Salmon is often cheaper than meat to buy now.I love fish and often get some from Whitstable fish market where its almost jumping off the slabs its so fresh:):)
