First thing - take a deep breath and relax. You have been sent an invoice from a private company, it is not a fine and you have not broken any law. It is easy to beat this as long as you take your time to understand how this all works.

Start by having a read of the sticky above called "NEWBIES!!! HAVE YOU GOT A PRIVATE PARKING TICKET?**READ THIS FIRST**!! Thankyou!!!! "

Once you have read it come back here with any questions. Link below

I am just wondering how this happened so quickly ?

seems strange to get a PCN the following day , or an NTK

please read this thread to start with, it may help you

3 posts timed exactly the same with essentially the same info. :D

I agree with Redx though - the Notice through the post on Saturday CANNOT relate to an "offence" committed the previous day. Or did you mean you got the notice on Saturday (30/11) relating to an "offence" on Friday 22/11?

And it is NOT A FINE? (See my signature). :)

I've moved the two posts (above) out of Coupon-mad's sticky thread and into this one. Also sent a PM to the OP so they know where to find their posts :)

worry less about the intricacies, you posted and people will help you

please check the details again as there is no way you will get an NTK within 1 day of a problem occurring , I suspect it is about a contravention from say 8 days earlier as you have to receive it within 14 days if no PCN (windscreen ticket) was issued

all these questions and wording are important , in order to find a way forward , so please answer any questions put to you (but nothing personal like names , addresses , reference numbers etc - obviously)

ps:- what is the actual price of parking there for 10 minutes ?

I suggest you take pictures of the signage there too (with a digital camera or mobile phone)

the guy is confused and bricking it , replies cost nothing so I am trying to get him to make sense of it all and not to put stuff on here that isnt true

so irrelevant or not, its my call if I wish to answer him , I did and I will

you do it your way , no problem, but I believe this guy needs more compassion that the simple wording in your reply, even though it is correct

for all we know its a free bay for 30 minutes or 15 minutes like the peel centre KFC near me, many of them are, certainly round here , so 10 minutes could form an appeal as he has a reasonable time to decide if he accepts a parking contract or exits the car park, clearly he exited the car park ;)

in fact, the private car park near me has a McDonalds on it and also has a 4 hour parking limit, so if anyone got a ticket for 10 minutes there we would know instantly it was invalid and challenge it on that basis, Therefore the pictures of the signage would be crucial

until we know more , dont be so judgmental , even though I know you mean well ;)
