Tesco Bank Broadband Offer and SKY's amazing response

This morning my postie brought me my Tesco Mobile Phone bill but included was an offer for:
"Free unlimited broadband and inclusive Evening and Weekend calls for customers within our network area, who take Tesco line rental at £14.90 per month" - http://www.tescobroadband.com/bank
Paying £25.31 per month for Sky broadband and Weekend calls immediately I saw at least a £10p/m saving as I was coming up to the end of contract with Sky.
So I rang Sky and told them I planned to leave due to this offer. Anyway after not too much pushing for a better deal I was offered the following.
£14.20/pm (on a new 12 month contract) which is 70p cheaper than Tesco and £11.11p/m cheaper than I have been paying.
This new offer breaks down as follows:
Line rental: £140.40 upfront (£11.70p/m) from £15.31p/m
Broadband: £2.50p/m from £10.00 p/m
Sky have just emailed me this offer is called: Broadband Unlimited Free For 12 Months - Existing UK Customers(Recontract).
This is going to save me £133.32 during this year; nearly half of what I was paying.
I did not have to haggle for this; just had to stand my ground (especially about "traffic management" - i.e. Tesco might slow you down at certain time and we never will) so why not give it a go?

The line rental isn't a special offer, as anyone can save by paying up front and the Sky offer does not include evening calls, as does Tesco's.0

I agree with the line rental point it was something I should have done previously.
Even with this excluded this is still a £7.50p/m saving for almost no effort.0 -
never had an issue with speed been slowed down, Im on tescoDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
