We stay at Bewleys Hotel. We travel by car , but the sister in law travels by coach and calls the hotel free on the phone located at the Bus/Train station main exit. The mini bus then picks her up and takes her back to the hotel. In the morning the mini bus takes us all to the terminal ready for departure. Hope this helps !

Thanks, that does help and I wish that information was available on the hotel website.

I've already booked a room at the RadissonBlu but I do appreciate your response and will definatley consider it in the future.

for future reference if you want to money save,
in summer we travelled as a large group from manchester airport, so to save money for everyone instead of paying £129 at Radisson Blu, we pre booked an advance price room at Premier Inn for £29.99 per room and paid £5 for taxi to terminal next morning.
premier inn was nice enough but still prefer the convenience of Radisson Blu

Booking last minute or peak season then maybe it costs that but looking a bit ahead and its 70 a night and then you'll get your c10% cashback if going via the likes of Hotels.com - obviously still more than Premier Inn but a lot less than #130 a night

Radisson often do quite good deals for their loyalty card (Carlsson?) holders too. Occasionally book two stays, get one free.
  • They are part of Club Carlson - have benefits from status with them but never anything beyond that

most flights i take from manchester are in february or march. always book at least 6 month in advance, the cheapest i have ever booked a room there for is £99 and that was a few year ago
i have never yet been able to book radisson blu for £70 except as below using club carlson points.

booked room in february and used loyalty card points. got the room price £69 for 2 of us but if we want a runway view they want another £15, usually request runway view for no extra charge

I've stayed at Heald Green, Finney Lane, Stockport many times.
You step off the train and almost walk straight into the Hotel.
Prices are good and you can get an evening meal and breakfast for a reasonable price.
A taxi from there to Manchester Airport is about £7.00 for 4 people with luggage and takes 5 mins:D

    Edit...just noticed you've booked:)
16 Sanyo Hit 250s.4kWp SMA 3.8kWp inverter. SW roof. 28° pitch. Minimal shade. Nov 2011 install. Hybrid car. Ripple Kirk Hill. N.E Lincs Coast.
