I have a default for £57 is it worth making them an offer to clear it from my account? Will it actually make that much difference?

Thanks

That is a mad amount to have defaulted on - its mucked up your credit file for 6 years so paying it off will only help marginally. Did you not see it coming? If there is any half decent excuse to try and get rid I would try if I was u

Oh, they sorted it out, to your detriment.

Did they prove the debt after your dispute, or are you still arguing about it.

If they have proved it, your credit is trashed for 6 years I'm afraid.

No they havnt sorted the issue just cancelled my contract and defaulted me. If I paid them in full or partial and asked them to remove it would that help or is it just there?

I hope you've learned that this is always the worse course of action. You should pay any disputed amount, making it clear that you are disputing the amount, then continue your dispute.
  • Virgin Media's complaints procedure is here. You need to follow it.
  • In quite a similar situation.... let me know how you get on?? Thanks

But were you in South Africa and Bradford at slightly different times? Roaming charges can take a while to appear on your bill.
