A Buyers Guide to LED Bulbs

Thanks for the great summary but I would not use this company as the only telephone number displayed on the website is an 0844 number.
If I didn't know the site, I would also be put off by the non-geographical phone number and lack of an address (until you delve into the small print of 'Returns' or 'Terms and conditions'). I don't think they're doing themselves any favours, as these can be one of the signs of a bogus site.0 -
......as does the lack of a company registration number or VAT number.illegitimi non carborundum0

Thank you for the information in this post
I am looking to replace some 40W B15 / small bayonet connection bulbs with the equivalent LEDs.
Can anyone recommend a brand or supplier as the information supplied on the various supplier websites is less than comforting given the above.
Thanks in advance0 -
palazzio - I take it, firstly, that you want the same or more light output as the bulbs you currently have. 400+ lumens would be good, and a colour temp of around 2700K (warm white or daylight white) would match what you have. I'm not sure about B15 - I thought candle lights were B22 or E14. If so, try this one unless anyone comes up with anything better:

B15 is the same as SBC (small bayonet cap) in the same way that E14 is the same as SES (small eddison screw).
Palazzio - I was going to suggest either Osram or Megaman (they come in a nice warm 2700k/2800k), but they may not do exactly what you are looking for. What exactly are you after? Which shape...candle, golf ball etc. etc. ? Frosted or clear?0 -
Thanks to above
It's golf ball bulbs I need , not fussy whether frosted or clear as output and size are the important criteria0 -

Has anyone got any pictures of how their LEDs look in the home environment?0
