Help with a small present for 13 year old girl

Double check that shes not a nail biter before you go down the nail varnish route. I've got to the grand old age of 30 before I've got enough nail to see, let alone paint. Both of my girls also severely bite their nails, as do most of the girls in my family
If you do buy nail varnishes, £1land now do loads of top brand ones & some special effects (crackle, magnetic etc). You could make her up a nail varnish hamper.
I'd go the gift voucher route personally, she can then then buy whatever she wants or save for something larger.
Im 45 and still bite my nails!!0 -
I'd go with cash, I've never met a teenager who doesn't like it ! Then she can buy what she wants.0

IS it the sort of party you take presents to?
I know when I was 13 I was invited to parties that said "Bring a Bottle" needless to say I didn't go. Wanted to/Parents said no. Agree now.
I agree with the cash idea. I still have a £3 record voucher for WH Smith when I was 13 and obviously have never used. Maybe I should contact them and ask them if I can exchange it :rotfl:
No idea why I didn't use it either, as I was into music in a big way and loved getting the latest singles etc... who knows.0 -
I would have preferred cash at 13. I often used to get boots vouchers or WH Smith vouchers back then, neither of which were much good to me as we didn't have a WH Smith in town and my mum bought the toiletries and I simply wasn't bothered to buy my own at that age
These days I'd always prefer someone to get me a voucher rather than cash tho - I think its a real treat to have money to spend all on myself. I know that's what I should do with any cash I receive - but inevitably it ends up being frittered on household things or something for DD etc.
Funny how things change as you get older....Married my lobster in July 2011
