My router is one side of the chimney breast, with the phone master & the phone.
My sky box is the other side of the chimney breast.
My desktop pc is upstairs in the spare room.
Tablet, laptop are wifi.
I have a devolo blue plug between the router & the PC I think its this one.

I want to link the sky box to the internet, but its seems as my devolos are the old type I can't mix 85s with 200s & 500s, so I would need to get all new powerlines.
Or I could drill from the side of the breast into the fire & the same the other side & put an ethernet cable through, fire is a fake no heat, all glow thing, so no worries about heat . Don't know if this is even possible, wall might be too thick.
Or I could buy one of those sky wifi things on ebay.

Sky normally discount the wifi adapter very heavily to customers , log on to your sky account and I think it was under add boxes or somewhere weird
They often link to it on their emails
Currently free as it goes

Thank you, I just tried that. They know (god knows how) that I've previously used the devolo with the box, so I cant have it free:mad:
Is this box ok?0 -
