Eh hem....no more NSD here....can't quite recall if I posted yesterday - don't think so as I was working until late (again) picked up some food essentials (ok the soup prob wasn't but the bread was) from Waitys as i was down that way, and changed some fabric pencils at the sewing shop for some fabric scissors. Still working on DN santa sack for xmas, long way to do still  but modified design and font much better, and scissors are a godsend and well work the money to go into my sewing box.
Today I met up with a friend I used to work with, haven't seen each other for well over a year  had lunch, a mooch around the shops and a festive coffee. Was really lovely to catch up although I fear I did most of the yappingMust not leave it so long next time. However, feeling much more festive now
Poor OH poorly again, hope he gets better soon, and doesn't give it to me for xmas. Can't believe its only 2 weeks & 4 days  :xmastree:

Hello BigMummaF  - it's so lovely to see you back. We're still here, fighting the good fight and snaffling NSDs. A few of our regulars are otherwise engaged in RL at the moment so we're just keeping our lovely thread ticking over
Now that you come to mention it, Igor has been quiet for a while - maybe the Christmas panto is on his mind or maybe he's concocting a festive brew.....:xmassmileSPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -
I had a veeery quiet day yesterday - bought my DM her obligatory Cliff calendar but as it comes from the saved-up-for-Christmas budget, I'm not counting as a spend
So NSD #5 :j

BIG MUMMA!!!!!! (Mwah! Mwah! Shlurrppp! - sorry, not too good at this kissy kissy stuff, ok now, you can put your oxygen mask back on, Hubert has left the room)
Welcome back, sweet thing, we have missed your shining wit (no Spoonerisms, please, Igor!) on this thread.
On an NSD note I finally found number 2 NSD skulking in the aspidistra so chucked it in the Cauldron of Doom. One life - your life - live it!0 -
Now, talking of Christmas pantos.....Igor! Get your arris over here and give me the sitrep on the arrangements for this year's NSD gang winter solstice/Crimbo shindig....
(Two hours later...)
Ok. Ok. Where do I begin? Well, on the face of it, it all sounds jolly good fun and do-able. If you leave out the roast bison, the fancy-dress carol singing dressed as Christmas puddings, and the cabaret spot by the Good Ole Boys, complete with their usual drag queen interlude........let's tidy the list up a bit and see what we can come up with.....now, don't cry, Igor, we can still keep some of your ideas in....
Date: the weekend of 21 and 22 December, with a performance of the panto on each day. And yes, you can be the good fairy. And Hubert will make an excellent Dame.
Who's invited: All the NSD gang. There are currently over 30 taking part in this month's challenge, so better cater for a few more...say, one hundred and seven? Sounds good to me, we'll all be starving so nothing will go to waste.
Cabaret spot? No, the Good Ole Boys will not be appropriate, they would lower the tone of the proceedings, and besides, it would violate their parole conditions......The panto each day will be entertainment enough. Unless you can persuade kerri to get her pole-dancing kit on? What do you mean, she can't? Oh, I see, she's Principal Boy this year...
Drink? Yes, a Christmas cocktail bar sounds good, perhaps the gang can suggest what cocktails they would like?
And food....obviously the full Monty Christmas din-dins, with roast spuds, mashed spuds, sprouts, sausages, bacon, stuffing, gravy, peas, carrots, parsnips.......but don't forget the turkey!!!
(as Igor slinks off to find a supplier of turkeys big enough to do 107 portions....)One life - your life - live it!0
