Can't remember what colour I am using this month,so it is
NSD NUMBER 2!
My children had a couple of friends over for tea tonight.I had promised my 4yo I would make them cheesy pasta for tea.As I was starting to make it ,I realised I didn't really have enough margarine to make it as I normally would.
I thought long and hard about nipping out to buy marg, then thought of my NSD being spoiled due to bad planning(did a large grocery shop yesterday!).So I just added lots more flour and lots more cheese, and none of the 6 kids seemed to notice :rotfl:.
I hope everyone is keeping well, and taking care in this wild weather.

I hear that Britain is having some wild weather-I hope everyone is ok.
Another great start :j. And it's been a strange old day here weather-wise. Totally wild with wind and rain this morning where I am in Scotland and so calm this afternoonSPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -

Fantastic slowlyfadingstrandedinaber wrote: »NSD 3 for me todayAnd 2-in-a-row. Hurrah! Should take it up to 3 in a row tomorrow, but Saturday is going to be my spend day for this week. Then nothing 'til next Thursday when we go out for the work meal.
Sounds like you've got a good plan stranderinaber - well done :TNot one here today, bought some thermal gloves for boot camp (proper running ones which I figure will be more effective than the woolie ones I currently wear). Store only had one pair of thermals, which were in the size i wanted, so took it as a sign.
I love it when you get a sign kerriSPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -

I should have got one yesterday. I had a hospital appointment in the afternoon, and paid for parking (but I don't count hospital parking as a spend, as it's pretty much unavoidable), but then I went into the shop and spent £1 on chocolate, for absolutely no reason!
As soon as I walked out, I was like "why did I do that?!" Never mind. At least doing the NSD challenge makes me more aware of my episodes of pointless spending!
Found out today that I'm supposed to go and do a stint at the school Christmas fair on Saturday afternoon. I do get annoyed when it's just assumed teachers will give up a weekend day for something at school. We give enough hours to the job in our own time as it is. It's only for an hour, but what with pack up time at the end, and commuting, it's the better part of 2 hours, slap bang in the middle of my Saturday. Sucks!
:rotfl::rotfl:to the "why did I spend that?" comment - this thread is fantastic for that isn't it? And  to being expected to give up part of your weekend - bet the kids and parents appreciate it though

MissE001 - Of course not. I was going to pop in tonight and do one but won't now. I shall do the washing up instead. Booooo. Does it help you if I still do the normal update tomorrow as in update from my last update or shall I just update where you left off this evening, I don't mind either way.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -

Does anyone else get twitchy when they've not spent in a while? Like, "I've not spent any money in a few days, I'm sure there's something I must urgently need!". It's very irritating. Hoping it goes away with more practice on gaining NSDs!Novuna personal finance 0% 4-year £518/£1866Credit card debt free! Now on the journey to mortgage free.0
